BLS projections point to growing opportunities in research & development opportunities for Aerospace Engineers, but with tempered expectations in manufacturing. However, recent high-profile case of structural concerns with commercial airliners suggests a demand for those on the manufacturing side could be ahead in the not-distant future.
 

Petroleum Engineer is the highest ranking engineering career in the Jobs Rated report, although its growth outlook in the coming decade ranks on the lower end. The high wages make it one of the most financially lucrative positions CareerCast.com tracks.
