Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for yield analytics capability/system learning from development sites, own to strategize and work on proliferation to high volume manufacturing for predictive yield modeling, early yield shift detection, commonality signal isolation for immediate containment/root causing and bridge the signal/findings to resolution. The candidate would be assigned to work on yield integration of next-generation electronic packaging processing and lead resolution of issues with complex interactions and integrated effects.

The job responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Learn and transfer predictive/prescriptive yield analytics capability from development site for deployment to high volume manufacturing site.
  • Join development team in validating new yield analytics capability/system with actual use cases. Actively work with capability/data base development team and be part of solution for improvements to new electronic packaging technology volume ramping and sustaining business needs.
  • Develop and deploy early yield signal detection capability for new electronic packaging technology assembly and test manufacturing
  • Pilot new analytics techniques and proof with high accuracy in signal/modulator isolation. Debug on data integrity issue when business needs arise.
  • Train to-be trainer for new yield analytics capability/system or methodology. Develop training contents with practical use cases. Conduct training to engineers and integrators. Work with engineers with application of yield analytics skill/techniques in signal isolation and problem solving.
  • Own yield integration of next-generation products. Own yield improvement roadmap and work with relevant stakeholders namely Fab Sort Manufacturing, Assembly Test Technology Development, Product Engineering, Low Yield Analysis/Failure Analysis and Corporate Quality Network to develop solutions to yield issues
  • Lead task force for investigation and resolution of assembly and test yield issues.


Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Must have a Bachelor, or MS in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Information System or Chemistry/Physics and at least 5 years of Assembly & Test or semiconductor processing experience.
  • Experience with writing scripts for data extraction and analysis (SQL, perl, JSL, python, etc.).
  • Self-motivated & self-directed to learn and find sources of knowledge and information required to perform work.
  • Must have demonstrated track-record of proficiency in working in a high-performing team culture which includes: excellent teamwork and leadership skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, demonstrated problem solving and the ability to prioritize work in an ambiguous environment.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Candidates demonstrates effective problem solving first and data script writing second. Must be seen as a technical expert who is results and process/systems oriented, has proven ability for critical thinking and second order questions that lead to impactful solutions.
  • Experience with using Model based problem solving and data analytics to solve integrated Yield issues.
  • In depth knowledge of assembly data from process and metrology tools and experience extracting and analyzing this data.
  • Experience with Yield prediction methodologies - understanding design for yield principles.
  • Able to identify and define solutions to increase the efficiency of yield monitoring, report-outs, and investigation of issues to determine root cause and solutions.
  • Ability to understand how to effectively communicate data at multiple levels of organization from new hire to senior managers, while deeply appreciating the tactical conditions facing their customers.
  • Must be seen as a technical expert and have proven ability for critical thinking and second order questions that lead to impactful solutions.
  • Able to devise standard and sustainable solutions that are directly aligned to the yield validation and sustaining business needs and ensure information is generated correctly based on World-Class Sustaining excellence principles.
  • Ability to influence and negotiate with stakeholders. Lead and influence change across multiple departments.
  • High tolerance of ambiguity and flexibility with respect to job roles and working hours.
