Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Sector is seeking a highly qualified, mission oriented Wind Tunnel Facility Operations Test Conductor located in Hawthorne, CA with responsibilities including but not limited to the following:

The selected candidate will be independent, motivated self-starter responsible for the company's Low Speed Wind Tunnel and Inlet & Duct facility in Hawthorne, CA. The facility was built in 1957 and has undergone major renovations and technological upgrades throughout the past several decades. It is a vital lab for NGAS capable of producing high quality data that is critical for supporting existing programs and future proposals. In addition to operating the facilities during testing periods, the candidate will perform and track periodic and preventative maintenance schedules, make necessary repairs to and troubleshoot a variety of systems spanning a variety of disciplines (mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, instrumentation, etc.), and track and order consumable supplies to ensure the facility is continually in top operational condition. The selected candidate will need outstanding written and oral communication skills to keep leadership informed of facility status, risks, and issues and support development of indirect and capital investment requests to maintain and improve facility capabilities.


**Basic Qualifications**

+ Bachelor's of Science degree and 2 years of relevant experience OR 0 years with a Master's degree
+ Familiarity and confidence with mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and test instrumentation systems in an industrial environment
+ Ability to work well both independently and within team; be adaptive and effectively communicate with various personality types and experience levels
+ Strong communication skills and ability to effectively and efficiently relay technical information to senior leadership
+ Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Government security clearance at the DoD Secret level

**Preferred Qualifications**

+ Active DoD Secret or Top Secret clearance, NG SAP clearances
+ Experience with Wind Tunnel Testing
+ Experience maintaining and/or operating industrial equipment and systems
+ Leadership experience, leading a test crew or an integration / R&D environment
