Description Humanas wellness business is seeking a candidate to lead our clinical thought leadership and advancement to integrate clinical insights and data into the value proposition of our wellness products as a Director of Strategy Advancement. This leader will carry credentials and expertise required to validate recommendations and execute programs. The leader will lead and develop our clinical and behavior health wellness strategy for the enterprise for how to manage and lead through the convergence of wellness and clinical care plans allowing for deeper provider visibility/control and demonstrable clinical outcomes for employers. Responsibilities Key Responsibilities: Organizational Strategy for Wellness Solutions and Enterprise Strategy Connections + Provide direction, supervision and development of the well-being and population health programming strategy to the wellness team and enterprise initiatives requiring wellness interventions to maximize member engagement and health outcomes. + Ensure the delivery of effective, high-value wellness and health promotion programs by overseeing the bi-annual accreditation process of the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA). + Promote a holistic, evidence-based approach to help prevent and manage chronic disease, meeting members where they are in their well-being journey. Strategic Partnerships + Partner with Employee Assistance Program (EAP) and work-life services to ensure that well-being services and programs are readily available to members and align with the support being provided. + Conduct research and work with the product team to create wellness products designed based on insights. + Partner closely with Humanas largest wellness customers to showcase outcomes and connectivity of wellness to clinical advancements, cost savings and ROI as defined by our customers. + Partner with clinicians and other medical professionals from across the organization (Healthcare services, Retail and Home) to ensure goals and objectives of well-being programs and services are understood, integrated and advancing Humanas integrated care delivery strategy. + Partner with Sales and Marketing teams to ensure client- and member-facing materials accurately reflect and positively promote the well-being services and programs available for members, and support their efforts through emails, calls and presentations. Leadership + Provide leadership, management and development of staff - along with clinical and operational oversight - as needed, including health coaching, content development and other services. + Provide direction and clinical guidance to direct reports and team members, ensuring employees meet the minimum qualifications, experience and licensure or certification requirements of their job. + Ensure that safe and effective clinical protocols and guidelines are established and followed by the wellness product and operations teams. + Direct reports will include NCQA specialist (2 P3 roles) and 1 open head count (P3 or P4 role). Will also have influence over actuary agenda and direct project work through other non-direct reports (1 AVP, 4 P3 roles)(Could move this team as direct reports if required to attract the right talent) Data & Reporting + Collaborate on the development of presentations that highlight key data, programming successes and opportunities for improvement. + Ensure accuracy and reliability of data and reports, and confidently present and explain outcomes related to health and well-being initiatives to staff, clients and other stakeholders. + Design and implement a quality improvement program that includes strategies to measure and track the utilization and effectiveness of programs and services. Resource / Subject Matter Expert (SME) + Provide programming, implementation and operational support of future onsite clinics, including staffing, health programs, preventive care compliance, and chronic condition management. + Serve as a clinical, well-being and total population health resource and SME for the different business units and employees of the organization, providing written, telephonic and in-person support and training as needed. + Demonstrate clinical and well-being thought leadership through participation in wellness industry events as an attendee or presenter, writing articles or blogs, and serving on health- and wellness-related boards. Required Qualifications + 10+ years of clinical wellness, corporate well-being and population health management experience. + Familiar with and able to convey information regarding the benefits, issues and trends in clinical health and well-being. + Ability to plan, implement and monitor clinical and well-being activities, programs and services. + Management experience with diverse teams, including health professionals, clinicians, licensed personnel, and support staff. + Experience analyzing data, developing reports and delivering presentations to internal and external stakeholders, including C-suite. + Strong interpersonal skills and collaborative spirit, fostering effective and productive teamwork. + Dynamic and mature self-starter with excellent oral and written communication skills. + Bachelors Degree in Health Promotion, Public Health or related field. Advanced degree preferred (PhD, MPH, or MS in Health Science). Reporting Relationships + This Director will report to the SVP, Wellness Solutions Additional Information + This is a work at home opportunity with expected travel to Louisville approximately once a month plus travel to customer meetings. The ideal candidate will live near a major airport.
