Job Description
The Water Resources Project Manager will support and lead projects for water and wastewater clients primarily in Wisconsin, but to also include national projects including planning, designing, and preparing plans related to water resources planning and infrastructure.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Technical oversight of design staff and team members for water resources projects including but not limited to floodplain modeling and mapping studies, municipal water resources projects, and transportation drainage design.
Identifies new business opportunities for AECOM, coordinates and participates in project presentations to clients and other external groups, and promotes AECOMs capabilities, marketing its services among existing and prospective clients.
Participates in project opportunity evaluation, consultant selection, and the preparation of AECOM's qualification/experience statements.
Coordinates and participates in contract negotiations with clients and subcontractors and drafts complex professional service agreements and addenda for review by senior management.
Directs project team and client compliance with contract terms and monitors subcontractors' compliance with contractual commitments.
Prepares project work plan, scope, schedule, and budget, and communicates these to project team members; monitors/manages project production for compliance with schedule, budget, and quality objectives.
May supervise technical professionals, associate project managers, and design staff including workload and staffing management.
Monitors and reports financial status of projects to technical managers.
Performs such other duties as the supervisor may from time to time deem necessary.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
Preferred Qualifications:
Ten (10) or more years of related experience
Three (3) or more years performing project management
Professional Engineering (PE) license in Wisconsin or the ability to obtain one within first 6 months of employment.
Experience and familiarity with the following programs: HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS 1D/2D, SRH-2D, xpSWMM, HydroCAD, WinSLAMM, FHWA Toolbox, HY-8, ArcGIS, AutoDesk Civil 3D Storm and Sanitary Analysis / Pipe Networks or MicroStation Geopak Drainage
Experience working with local clients in the Madison or Milwaukee Metropolitan Areas.
Candidates must have proven interpersonal skills, including client interaction, public speaking, and persuasive ability; strong project financial management along with ability to lead diverse, multi-disciplined teams.
