Raytheon IT Security has an opening in the Enterprise IT Security group for an experienced Vulnerability Assessment Analyst (Sr. Cyber Threat Analyst I) to conduct application, network, and system vulnerability assessments, documentation, and consultation of corrective, remediation actions. The Analyst will be responsible for assessing Raytheons systems and supporting processes to ensure assessments and mitigating controls are consistent with Raytheons risk tolerance. This includes the development of methods to ensure the accurate identification, prioritization, and remediation of vulnerabilities. The ideal candidate will have knowledge or experience in vulnerability assessments, vulnerability remediation and mitigation, and risk management as well as prior hands-on experience in cybersecurity operations.

This position can be a salary grade level G08 (Sr. Cyber Threat Analyst I) or G09 (Sr. Cyber Threat Analyst II) based on the candidate's qualifications as they relate to the skills, experience, and responsibility requirements for the position.

Job Description :

Work with various internal Raytheon business customers to coordinate, conduct, and tune application, network, and system vulnerability scans prior to deployment and when those systems are modified within pre-production and production environments
Manage the administration and logistics of vulnerability assessments requiring a working knowledge of vulnerabilty scanners, firewalls, identity & access management systems, and problem solving to identify and correct issues when they arise
Provide system administrators, system owners, and IT support staff with effective vulnerability mitigation strategies and meaningful vulnerability metrics
Formally document and establish well-defined processes, procedures, remediation and mitigation strategies, and lessons learned
Consult with and provide technical cybersecurity reviews to Raytheons strategic initiatives and internal programs
Support the maintenance and operations of vulnerability assessment infrastructure through refresh initiatives and annual planning. Work with vendors to support future enhancements and desired functionality

Required Skills :

Minimum of 4+ years of experience in vulnerability assessment and a bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of schooling/certifications in lieu of degree
Strong technical understanding of common network, system, and application vulnerabilities
Ability to communicate to stakeholders the real-world impact of threats and vulnerability exploitation in a given environment; both technical and non-technical audiences
Understanding of information assurance, risk management, and IT security concepts
Proven success in working with cross-business and cross-functional teams in a geographically distributed environment
Experience with managing multiple customer requests, assessments, and customer expectations within established service levels
Ability to share on-call responsibilities, work non-standard hours, and travel when required

This position requires the eligibility to obtain a U.S. security clearance. Except in rare circumstances, only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

This position requires either a U.S. Person or a Non-U.S. Person who is eligible to obtain any required Export

Desired Skills :

Practical experience configuring and managing servers, endpoints, network infrastructure, web applications, and databases
Working knowledge of vulnerability assessment tools such as Nessus, Qualys, OpenVAS, WebInspect, Burp, nmap, and similar tools
Working knowledge of common scripting languages, e.g., Python, Perl, PowerShell, Bash
A deep understanding of remediation and mitigation techniques of system and application vulnerabilities on an enterprise scale

Required Education :
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, Mathematics or related discipline or equivalent combination of schooling and certifications in lieu of degree
