Raytheon IT Security group has an opening for a junior Vulnerability Assessment Analyst (Cyber Analyst II) to conduct application, network, and system vulnerability assessments, documentation, and consultation of corrective, remediation actions. The Analyst will have responsibility for the administration and maintenance of assessment infrastructure and systems, and the integration of assessment infrastructure and systems with other information systems that support enterprise compliance and vulnerability monitoring. The ideal candidate will have knowledge or experience in vulnerability assessments, vulnerability remediation and mitigation, cybersecurity operations, as well as prior hands-on experience in administration and maintenance of information systems. Job Description :

Work with various internal Raytheon business customers to coordinate, conduct, and tune application, network, and system vulnerability scans prior to deployment and when those systems are modified within pre-production and production environments
Coordinate with Raytheon information system administrators to develop, implement, and troubleshoot integrations with enterprise information systems that support vulnerability management
Support the maintenance and operations of vulnerability assessment infrastructure and systems through refresh initiatives and annual planning; support future enhancements and desired functionality
Manage the administration and logistics of vulnerability assessments
Provide system administrators, system owners, and IT support staff with effective vulnerability mitigation strategies and meaningful vulnerability metrics
Formally document and establish well-defined processes, procedures, remediation and mitigation strategies, and lessons learned

Required Skills :

Minimum of 2+ years of experience in vulnerability assessments and a bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of experience and schooling/certifications ion lieu of degree
Technical understanding of common network, system, and application vulnerabilities.
Working knowledge of vulnerabilty scanners, firewalls, identity & access management systems, and problem solving to identify and correct issues when they arise
Ability to communicate to stakeholders the real-world impact of threats and vulnerability exploitation in a given environment; technical and non-technical audiences
Understanding of information assurance, risk management, and IT security
Experience with deploying, hardening, maintaining, and troubleshooting Linux and Windows server operating systems
Practical experience using common scripting languages (e.g., Python, Perl, PowerShell, Bash) to communicate with application programming interfaces (API) of systems that support vulnerability management
Experience working with cross-business and cross-functional teams in a geographically distributed environment

Willingness to share on-call responsibilities, work non-standard hours, and travel when required

This position requires the eligibility to obtain a U.S. security clearance. Except in rare circumstances, only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

This position requires either a U.S. Person or a Non-U.S. Person who is eligible to obtain any required Export

Desired Skills :

Practical experience configuring and managing servers, endpoints, network infrastructure, web applications, and databases
Practical experience with vulnerability assessment tools such as Nessus, Qualys, OpenVAS, WebInspect, Burp, nmap, and similar tools
Deep knowledge of common scripting languages, e.g., Python, Perl, PowerShell, Bash
Practical experience with remediation and mitigation techniques of system and application vulnerabilities on an enterprise scale

Required Education : Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, Mathematics or related discipline or equivalent combination of work and schooling/certifications in lieu of degree
