Summary
The Vice President of Strategy & Innovation is a critical role ensuring our strategy anticipates and responds to market trends, maintains a future orientation and drives long term profitable growth. Reporting to the President of Innovation and New Business, you will be an integral member of the Executive team and chartered with developing the strategic analysis driving our investments and strategic partnerships with a focus on enhancing the overall strategy for ADT and the new business portfolio.

The Vice President will:
  • Quickly develop an in-depth understanding of the business and focus on issues ranging from organic growth, M&A, go-to-market, customer experience, cost reduction and operational efficiency
  • Define, develop, socialize and implement strategies to enhance ADTs market position and drive growth
  • Identify and quantify opportunity areas for new ADT lines of business
  • Provide input to ADTs product roadmap in the context of the evolving corporate strategy
  • Bring expertise from technology, product, retail and other industries to influence ADTs business and future growth strategies
  • Define and continuously refine a roadmap for innovation processes within ADT
  • Work with cross functional teams that encompasses business units, engineering, technology development, operations and sales to formulate a company-wide strategy.
  • Synthesize the companys strategic objectives as well as industry trends to identify, recommend and execute on initiatives that can meet the companys growth objectives.
  • Identify and drive the process to address strategic questions facing the company.
  • Build a trust-advisory relationship with the business leadership team and develop strategic recommendations for improving and evolving the business.
  • Work across company leadership to gain buy-in and drive implementation of strategic recommendations, while serving as a strategic thought partner to the leadership team.
  • Manage engagements ranging from longer-term opportunities and threats, to tactical projects that support new and existing business objectives and priorities.
Responsibilities:
Advising Growth and Profitability Strategy
  • Provides strategic advice to senior executive management regarding overall targeted growth and operational efficiency
  • Provides ongoing strategic guidance to plan and manage growth of business revenues and market share.
  • Facilitates senior level discussions around organic and inorganic growth options and plays an active role in guiding transactions to a successful close.
  • Designs and develops market strategies that increase organizational effectiveness.
  • Drives operational efficiency initiatives that improve business profitability
Providing Thought & Team Leadership
  • Demonstrates innovative thought leadership by advising company leaders as appropriate.
  • Influences C-level executives on a wide range of business issues, including risk management and implementation tactics.
  • Provides strong leadership, develops clear goals, mentors and coaches team members and manages / drives change.
Applying Financial Rigor
  • Develops financially sound, executable, data-driven business strategies that increase shareholder value.
  • Supports business unit leadership team decision making with rigorous financial analysis and modelling.
