The U.S. Personal Banking (USPB) Chief Operating Office team is focused on strategic growth and operational excellence across USPB franchise. This highly visible team drives a broad portfolio of strategic initiatives and business management activities ranging from growth strategy, digital transformation, expense productivity, talent and performance management, and operating model efficiency. Initiatives are typically team-based and include heavy interaction and collaboration with business / functional heads and their teams.

The team is composed of top performers from top strategy consulting firms and other internal Citi groups. The successful candidate will work as an individual contributor within a small team to solve complex problems and implement solutions against top priorities in the U.S. Personal Bank. The position presents an excellent opportunity for the successful candidates to:

+ Be exposed to and influence the agendas of senior management

+ Develop expertise in a variety of businesses and functions in personal banking

+ Be mentored and coached by experienced managers on problem solving, communications, and leadership skills

**Areas of responsibility**

+ Structuring and building quantitative and qualitative analysis and reporting

+ Perform competitor and industry research using internal and external data and resources

+ Analyze and interpret data from operational and financial data to identify trends and derive insights, model what-if scenarios, and develop recommendations to inform decision-making

+ Support critical transformation, productivity and cross-business unit initiatives, and facilitate effective execution of these initiatives

+ Drive project workstream execution end-to-end: identifying and structuring the problem, analyzing root causes, developing solutions, communicating project results, and getting buy-in for change

+ Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to track and measure initiative progress; identify, design, and operationalize tools where appropriate to streamline ongoing progress updates

+ Support development of CEO and Board-level presentations and communications

**Candidate Qualifications:**

+ 5+ years of experience in strategy development and execution, prior financial services and management consulting experience preferred

+ An undergraduate degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or another quantitative discipline; MBA or other advanced degree beneficial, but not necessary

+ Strategic and analytical thinker with proven ability to structure and execute quantitative and qualitative analysis

+ Outstanding ability to communicate effectively (written and oral) and work well on cross-functional teams and in highly matrixed environments

+ Openness to an environment of active developmental feedback from peers and managers

+ Advanced understanding of MS Excel, PowerPoint, and other data analytics and reporting tools
