Spring by Citi will enable digital commerce for clients by providing streamlined access to locally relevant payment methods. Our goal is simple: help customer-centric institutions build seamless experiences that increase sales conversion while mitigating risk. To that end, Spring by Citi brings together varying objectives of corporate treasury, payments and the business, delivering value to each part of their organization. The solution will be integrated with wider cash management needs, giving clients single window access to a globally consistent proposition.


The VP-Product Commercialization Manager will support the roll out of this business in the NA region, will drive multiple work streams to ensure a successful product launch and will help integrate this new consumer digital collection offering into Citi's increasingly expanding portfolio of payments & receivables products that service ecommerce clients


The VP-Product Commercialization Manager will be need to become fluent in the intricacies of consumer payments in the U.S. and Canada, including understanding credit/debit card acquiring, mobile wallets, alternate payment methods and traditional banking payment methods. The individual will also gain exposure to capabilities emerging in other regions that ultimately will be made available to Citi's global clients through Citi's existing and new customer interfacing channels.


The individual in the role will also have extensive knowledge of the payments landscape and the requirements of ecommerce clients to formulate the correct product strategy. This insight will be critical to identifying and incorporating key value drivers into the product proposition.


A key requirement of the role will be to help support the incorporation of these emerging capabilities into wider TTS Cash Management solution suite to deliver a comprehensive value proposition to global clients


**Job Description:**


The VP-Product Commercialization Manager will be a key member of the NA Emerging Receivables and Instant Payments team, part of the broader NA Payments & Receivables organization. The role will report into the Director, Spring by Citi NA Product Head.


The role will require the holder to have a strong commercial and payment system user experience mindset as well as the ability to build and maintain collaborative working relationships with the global, regional and country product managers.


The role is incredibly multi-faceted and demands top class communications skills especially those of listening. It requires exceptional influencing skills, which in the most part will come from a maturity of approach and a thorough analysis and understanding of the issues being dealt with. It is a high profile role and the successful candidate will need to be able to perform under the spotlight and work effectively with all levels of management and functions.


This is a job for someone who is ambitious and determined to succeed but who has learned to temper this with an understanding of how to get the best out of others. It is taken as read that the person will be enthusiastic, pro-active and focused on delivering to a high standard. This is a demanding and challenging role.


The person will have strong payments commercialization background especially in the realm of payments gateways, APIs, credit/debit card processing and experience with clients and their ecommerce requirements. The person will also need to have proven product management, financial and project management experience and excellent analytical skills.


They will be a self-starter with a great aptitude for juggling many diverse activities at once and prioritization whilst maintaining full ownership. .


**Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following areas:**


An appreciation of client needs, particularly with respect to the North America market Drive commercialization of Citi's new global consumer digital collection solution including:


+ The rollout of regional card acquiring capabilities, alternative payment methods (APMs) and traditional and emerging bank transfers (e.g., instant payments, direct debit)

+ Partnering with Global Product, Market Management, functional partners and client-facing teams to ensure overall product readiness in the U.S. and Canada

+ Building awareness of Citi as a leading NA eCommerce provider by contributing to thought leadership material and product marketing packages

+ Ongoing competitive intelligence and market research to ensure Citi is appropriately positioned

+ Identify and prioritize product enhancements and new capabilities to address emerging client requirements and enable Citi to compete in the NA market

+ Lead key internal processes, including pricing, pipeline reporting and win/loss trends Lead the deployment of an effective Operations and Service Model for applicable products Engagement with Risk, Control and Regulatory oversight of applicable products, as well as third-party vendor management activities related to credit card processors and other partnerships Leveraging partnerships with key global and regional product teams and cross functional partners to ensure Citis products are made available consistently across the network

+ Understanding of Cash Management

+ Detailed understanding of Product Management Lifecycle

+ Understanding of business requirements of different Client segments


+ Understanding of key industry stakeholders, including emerging FinTech companies

+ Appreciation of the diversity of regulations, market practices and behaviors around the globe

+ Exposure to Client solutioning

+ Exposure to a global team structure, leveraging regional and cross functional partners, including Product, Client Operations, Technology, Compliance, Risk and Legal.


**Job Qualifications**


**Knowledge Experience** :


+ Minimum 7 years experience in relevant transaction banking roles. Payments experience a plus.

+ Minimum 5 years' experience in products commercialization (marketing or sales).

+ Good understanding of payment gateway solutions, credit & debit card processing, settlement prices, and clearing house operations

+ Good knowledge of the risk dynamics and responsibility between banking partnerships

+ Good understanding of compliance risk management

+ Understand customer needs and ideally have a good working knowledge of Client behaviors in multiple geographies


**Skills:**


+ Able to easily produce appropriate, professional and meaningful presentations which can be shared with Senior Management and Clients

+ Have a commercial mindset, capable of understanding how to capture new business opportunities in a documented business case format

+ Able to manage complexity and ambiguity and articulate issues in an easy to understand manner

+ Able to forge new and lasting relationships and influence people through a confident and mature approach in a matrix environment

**Qualifications:**


+ Relevant Bachelors degree

+ Post graduate qualification would be ideal (Masters or relevant post graduate qualification)

+ Relevant Business Analysis qualifications
