The IF Specialist Lead is a strategic professional who stays abreast of developments within own field and contributes to directional strategy by considering their application in own job and the business. Recognized technical authority for an area within the business. Requires basic commercial awareness. There are typically multiple people within the business that provide the same level of subject matter expertise. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to guide, influence and convince others, in particular colleagues in other areas and occasional external customers. Significant impact on the area through complex deliverables. Provides advice and counsel related to the technology or operations of the business. Work impacts an entire area, which eventually affects the overall performance and effectiveness of the sub-function/job family.


+ Assist in the marketing and sale of the IF Product range through preparation of materials and maintenance of databases

+ Assist in development and launch of new Insurance product program and harmonization of existing product program for the wealth management segment.

+ Proactive product and project management to ensure timely delivery. Working with regional and global teams to identify creative solutions.

+ Full loan underwriting skills with appropriate risk return characteristics of Citi Private Banks standard product range with emphasis on Insurance product, ensuring appropriate compliance with Credit Policy and Risk Acceptance standards

+ Financial analysis including cashflow analysis

+ Collateral Evaluation covering liquid and illiquid asset classes including Insurance.

+ Assisting in Portfolio Management, portfolio reviews, covenant monitoring and compliance, waivers and extensions and all related system maintenance

+ Problem Recognition and assisting with classified loans remedial management

+ Appropriately assess process risk, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.


+ 8+ years of experience

+ Strong and proven financial and credit analytical abilities including execution skills

+ Experience as a credit officer

+ Strong knowledge of Citibanks Credit Policies, Product Programs and Citi Policies

+ Strong credit product approval and portfolio management experience

+ Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills

+ Strong initiative and interactive approach to problem solving

+ Displays flexibility and independence in a demanding environment

+ Team Player and ability to work with diverse teams.

+ Advanced MS Office and database skills.


+ Bachelor's/University degree, Master's degree preferred

+ Profession certification such as FRM, CFA, CPA preferred.
