Vice President Unsecured Lending Credit Portfolio (PBWM Risk)

The Credit Portfolio Officer is a will be working in a best in class, dynamic Risk organization that drives sustainable growth. This dynamic individual will collaborate closely with Risk and Business product leads to enable Citis growth in unsecured lending and to monitor portfolio risk in partnership with the broader risk management group. The team is looking for a high-energy individual who is looking to make a contributions at-scale.


+ Develop quantitative risk framework and associated risk analytics to optimize acquisition underwriting strategies

+ Develop risk framework and design credit policy for new, innovative lending features and products

+ Establish and leverage cross-functional partnerships and network with key internal and external constituencies

+ Leverage external credit bureaus & internal Citi data to develop analytical solutions, and perform statistical analyses using CHAID and other advanced segmentation techniques to identify relationships and trends in data, as well as any factors that could affect these results

+ Evaluate, implement and monitor sophisticated leading edge analytic tools such as machine learning models in the underwriting process

+ Analyze portfolio performance at a granular segment level on an ongoing basis

+ Identify trends and conduct data driven root-cause-analysis using SAS and SQL to isolate key performance drivers

+ Communicate policy changes and test recommendations, program approvals, performance trends with business partners and senior management

+ Communicate clearly and effectively to technical and non-technical audience

+ Manage large data using SAS and Teradata and leverage probabilities, distributions and decision trees to perform risk, financial and data analyses including profiling, performance, forecasting and new program due diligence

+ Comfortable working in an ambiguous, fast paced environment


+ 5+ years of experience in credit card risk management or equivalent training and experience preferably in the financial services industry

+ Experience with unsecured or secured loans preferred

+ Proven ability to apply credit and risk principles toward business goals

+ Demonstrated ability to synthesize and prioritize

+ Strong drive to deliver results in a fast-paced environment, including ability to work independently, prioritize workload, demonstrate attention to detail and meet deadlines

+ Strong verbal and written communication skills, including ability to communicate concisely and clearly

+ Demonstrated interpersonal, organizational and analytic skills

+ Ability to develop partnerships across multiple business and functional areas.


+ Bachelor's Degree in business, statistics, mathematics, economics, or equivalent experience

+ Master's degree preferred
