We are creating a world-class Communicationsorganization, comprising new strategies, people, processes and capabilities,integrated to deliver business results. Communications, Marketing and CorporateStrategy all report into the banks Head of Strategy, and have a close,collaborative partnership to develop and execute the Companys top growthinitiatives.

Role description and opportunities

The Vice President of Strategic Communications will haveresponsibility for managing the execution of highly creative communicationscampaigns for internal and external audiences. Working in a fast-paced andflexible manner, you will partner with colleagues across the enterprise to identifycontent that supports our reputational pillars. You must be an excellent writerand communicator with a track record of developing campaigns that resonate withaudiences and drive measurable outcomes.

Keyresponsibilities include the following

  • Manage updates and helpdrive the execution of BNY Mellons overarching communications strategy

Assist with the development ofcampaigns that support the companys reputational pillars

Lead planning and ensure thesmooth execution of each campaign by coordinating with Communicationscolleagues across the company

Help define and analyze success metrics, present insightswith colleagues at all levels across the company, and adjust plans with a focuson continuous improvement

Provide regular tracking and reporting on progress Engage agencies and outside vendors as necessary

Identify and advocate for the adoption of new tools andbest practices


A successful candidate should ideally have these qualifications and attributes Highly strategic, innovative thinker with the ability to see emerging trends and the big picture. Ability to successfully drive projects from development to completion Strong project management skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines, juggle multiple priorities and execute flawlessly with great attention to detail Demonstrated success developing and executing communications strategies and campaigns for large enterprises Proactive and collaborative multitasker with exceptional communications skills. Ability to work independently and in a team environment Hands-on experience managing a highly proactive communications strategy, with a solid reputation for integrity, transparency and follow-through A passionate and high-energy style, with the commitment and enthusiasm to take on complex, challenging situations in a dynamic organization. Ability to envision, articulate, and realize both process and program improvements within the communications function Experienced in providing direction to creative partners, including agencies, writers, designers, videographers and photographers Excellent judgment with the ability to analyze, critique and offer recommendations for improvement. Strong analytical and organizational skills, and a personal reputation for honesty, integrity and above-reproach ethics Experience using internal communications tools, including content publishing systems, email management systems, digital signage, measurement tools, etc. Minimum 10 years of related experience Bachelors degree required; MBA preferred
