We are looking for an individual who is ready to work in a challenging and competitive environment. Someone who has the knowledge of trade concepts and can attend to trade queries relating to Trade Finance products like Documentary Letters of credit and Standbys and simultaneously following up with other internal teams for timely resolution. Candidate should be open to work in a dynamic environment wherein individual skills combine with teams performance to determine the success of the unit and should be open to work in any shifts. The profile also requires the individual to handle a team of 3-5 members.

_Day-to-Day Responsibilities:_

**1. Essential functions and Responsibilities:**

> To handle a team of 3-5 members.

> Processing transactions relating to Document Checking / Scrutiny

> Review, analysis and implementation of control measures to prevent, financial, reputational and

operational risks

> Monitor various queues for incoming transactions and ensure they are actioned promptly as per SLA.

> Ensuring internal recon activities are performed on a timely manner.

> Able to understand, comprehend and deliver customer requirement effectively and promptly.

> Handle customer / bank queries pertaining to all trade products via SWIFT / Mails / Calls

> Ensuring the compliance of txns to the US regulations policies and procedures.

> Liaising with internal teams to effectively deliver customer requirement.

> Building cordial relationships with all stakeholders.

> Identify process gaps and work on building controls.

> Preparation of daily / weekly/ mothly reports are provided as per the requirement.

> Ensuring the compliance of txns to the US regulations policies and procedures.

**2. Risk and Control**

a. Adhere to internal policies to ensure compliance with legal parameters as well as company policies and procedures

b. Assist unit for audit preparation and necessary actions for clean audit results

**3. Migration and Project management**

a. Support/ participate in new/ongoing projects/migrations and ensure smooth cut over with minimized risks internal and external

b. Assist in developing and maintaining training database, training materials, and trackers for the migration

c. Support training for new staffs. Ensure training and parallel run are well planned and executed without impact on delivery

d. Participate in cross functional projects at unit level

**4. Revenue and Cost management**

a. Give suggestions or participate in process improvements and cost improvement initiatives

**5. Team Management**

a. Ensure the team provides the best productivity to meet SLA targets

b. Motivate the team towards the business objective

c. Maintain teams performance metrics to track defects, productivity.

This is a Night Shift Role




Bachelors or Masters degree. Professional degree preferred (MBA, CA etc) Should have first class in all the examinations.


Bachelor Degree - Min 7+ years in Trade Finance out of which 4-5 years in Doc Check / Scrutiny and also minimum of 3 years in team handling / Managing.


Master Degree (preferably Finance) 4+ years of experience (Doc Check / Scrutiny and team handling / Managing).

- Ability to inspire self and others towards establishing & achieving group goals by providing a clear vision, positive attitude towards work & fostering a healthy team spirit.

- Ability to work effectively under pressure and complete the assigned task

- Sets Goals, timelines, actions plans to meet objectives based on priorities

- Excellent communication skills in English - both written & oral

- Strong knowledge of document checking / scrutiny

- Should have strong knowledge of various Trade Finance Product

- Fair knowledge around International rules for handling Letters of Credit

- CDCS (Certified Documentary Credit Specialist)

- Proficient in Ms-Office (excel, word, power point)
