Job Summary

Job Description:

  • Performs various management, leadership, and people accountability responsibilities for a specific technical group or department.

  • Has full responsibility for interpreting, organizing, executing, and coordinating technical assignments.

  • Generally requires multi-disciplinary knowledge of aviation engineering, planning and/or program management.

  • Maintains liaison with individuals inside and outside of the organization.

  • Responsible for acting independently on technical matters pertaining to the field. Work at this level usually requires extensive progressive experience.

  • Works under minimal supervision. Supervision received is essentially administrative with assignments given in terms of broad general objectives and limits.

Job Summary:

AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented industry leader recognized by key aviation clients to oversee our Central Region Aviation Division. This position includes occasional travel to our offices and client sites around the world.

  • Meet with clients to identify future opportunities and drive the backlog of the business.

  • Responsible for the financial execution of the P&L for the Division.

  • Regularly evaluates the efficiency of the business and implement improvements to promote profitability within the Aviation Division. Candidate will provide operational support to the Director of Operations and Regional Business Line Leader (RBLL) and act as a conduit for the Aviation Division in relation to financial performance, monitoring and reporting, delivery excellence, health and safety and risk management. This position is a member of our Transportation Leadership Team.

  • You will work directly with our Regional Aviation Market Sector Leader (MSL) to achieve their performance targets for sales and bookings and to set strategic direction for the group.

  • Write proposals and prepare scopes/fee estimates for new work.

  • Participate in marketing, prepositioning, selling, pre-bids and bid openings

  • Use word processing, spreadsheet, database, and scheduling software applications to prepare correspondence, reports, schedule, and other documents related to projects and internal operations.

  • Seek, train, hire and manage aviation staff throughout the region.

  • Perform related duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements

BA/BS + 12 YORE or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education, including 4 years of leadership

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field

  • 12 + years experience as a project manager or related field

  • 4 + years of people management or business leadership

  • Licensed Professional Engineer within the US

  • Possession of a valid drivers license, preferred but not required

  • Regional Management Experience a plus but not required

Knowledge of:

  • Business skills: Contracts, Gross Margin, EBITA and Cash Collection

  • Reading and writing English communication skills

  • Understanding of airport and airline operations

  • Knowledge of FAA Regulations

  • Other regulatory requirements specific to airport development
