To support our GSP Business (General Surgical Products) for Belgium we are currently looking for a fulltime customer-oriented field Sales Representative with excellent communication skills and natural ability to spot business opportunities. This is a great challenge for a person with a strong relations management skill and few years of commercial experience. Fluent French and good level in English is required. Dutch knowledge is a plus

**A Day in the Life**

We offer you a position where you present and sell GSP products and services to current and potential clients. This fulltime field Sales Representative position is responsible for meeting or exceeding established program targets within a given geographical territory (Lige, Namur, Luxembourg region and country). We expect you to be able to learn and comprehend complex medical and scientific information, maximize client brand, achieve daily sales call activities and client deliverables by gaining access to decision makers and influencing product usage. The main purpose of this new role is to sell Medtronics GSP range of products (Sutures, Laparoscopic instruments, Hemostatic products and Trocars) as well as different projects like Visualization and Tender Management (non-exhaustive list).

You will be responsible for the sales of our GSP products to assigned hospitals and related healthcare professionals. We are looking for an experienced professional who has a demonstrated ability to manage multiple short and long-term projects while establishing trusted partnerships with key staff at the hospitals, including Clinical and non-Clinical Stakeholders. Previous experience with DMU management is a must. This is a challenging but rewarding role, allowing you to define and execute your own sales strategies to meet the set targets.

You will be primarily responsible for selling the full range of products in assigned accounts or regions in a professional manner to hospitals and related healthcare professionals as well as for the management of quality and consistency of product and service delivery. You will build strong ethical business relationships with customers to ensure usage of our products and gain greater market share, leading through clinical selling. We expect you to cooperate and coordinate activities with your team members and the other divisions within Medtronic to maximize business opportunities.

Other responsibilities will include:

**_Customer Management_**

Achieving agreed budgets, focused on sales growth

Presenting, providing in-service and selling GSP-products and services to current and potential clients

Supporting and advising the physician on the correct use of Medtronic devices

Preparing presentations, proposals and sales contracts

Managing account services through quality checks and another follow-up

Identifying and resolving client concerns

Optimizing tender management in region

**_Business Development_**

Leading with clinical selling activities within the territory

Identifying sales prospects and contacting these and other accounts as assigned

Preparing action plans and scheduling to identify specific targets and to project the contacts to be made

Following up on new leads and referrals resulting from field activity

Interacting with purchasing managers / hospital administrators to set up and negotiate broader sales contracts

Taking a wide organisational view of selling and managing accounts, with sufficient knowledge of competitors and their products

Maintaining customer knowledge by gathering information about account activities and potential, key decision makers, competitive participation, market share etc.

It will be your job to meet (or preferably exceed) financial and non-financial targets in a way that enhances Medtronics reputation in the market. In this commercial position you will fulfill a number of tasks in the field of sales management, ranging from market analyses and developing sales strategies to performing sales activities such as product introductions and support technical procedures when necessary. You will identify and address all key decision makers, opinion leaders and referrals, extend existing accounts and develop entirely new ones.

Building strong and lasting business relationships is another important task. Just as identifying and preparing upcoming tenders, market trends and competitors information. Furthermore, it will be your responsibility to train and educate relevant hospital staff, and to maintain and acquire knowledge on new product, technologies, markets, sales tools and processes.

We expect you to act, make decisions, and contribute to achieving and exceeding of sales budget, implementation of sales plan and growing existing business as well as managing customer relations at all levels in your territory. You are able to effectively manage expense budget allocations as well as all consignment accounts. Furthermore, it will be your responsibility to attend and facilitate congresses, workshops and any required marketing function. You will also enlarge client base in assigned territory and develop a business case for procedural growth.

We are looking for a hands-on individual with a commercial mindset. To be successful in this role very strong interpersonal and communication skills are required. You have proven to be results and quality oriented, integer, innovative and continuously learning. You can communicate persuasively, demonstrate product knowledge, display knowledge of key customers. In this role you contribute to building strong relationships and customer loyalty.

**Must Have**

Bachelors Degree

Demonstrated track record of sales (minimum 3 years experience)

High motivation, enthusiastic attitude, being comfortable with change and growth

Excellent organizational, interpersonal, persuasive, communication and negotiation skills

Fluent in French and very good level of English.

Advanced presentation and negotiation skills. Maintaining a professional appearance and providing a positive company image to the public

Strong computer skills (Outlook, Word, Excel)

Used to work independently with a high level of time management skills

You are service-oriented team player concerned with helping people, both internally and externally

Living Belgium in area Lige, Namur or Luxembourg region

Sales driven, business minded and with an entrepreneurial spirit

**Nice to Have**

Dutch language knowledge is a plus

Product launch, territory planning and forecasting experience is a plus

Operation room experience

Experience in medical devices/ MedTech or healthcare
