Job Title: Test Engineer I / Test Engineer II


Job Description:


Test Engineering provides technical expertise to numerous manufacturing and development Programs within the Raytheon Missiles and Defense Systems (RMD) business. Our work involves electrical hardware for radar, missile and combat systems. An opportunity exists for an engineer to join the Circuit Card Assembly (CCA) team responsible for production test at the Andover, MA facility. Primary responsibilities include supporting test, troubleshooting and test development of CCAs requiring Radio Frequency (RF) test. Platforms include: Aeroflex RFMTS II, RFACTS and some legacy test stations. This position requires close cooperation with the Operations team and other engineering disciplines including Product Design, Test Development and Manufacturing Engineering. The candidate will possess good communication skills and be able to work in a dynamic team environment.


This is a 3rd shift position which includes a 12% added pay differential.
This position can be a G06 (Test Engineer I) or G07 (Test Engineer II) based on the candidates qualifications, skills and experience.


U.S. citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. security clearance as of day one of employment.


Responsibilities include:


+ Supporting production test of circuit cards on RF test platforms


+ Interpreting test requirements and documenting test procedures


+ Analyzing data to drive issues to root cause


+ Generating Change Requests (CRs) on technical issues relating to the production test process


+ Developing and executing improvement projects to increase first pass yields


+ Engagement with Design teams to solve issues impacting production


+ Ensuring hardware requirements are met and processes are followed


+ Assisting manufacturing operators in the testing & troubleshooting of production hardware


Basic Qualifications:


+ Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology or a related discipline


+ Experience in test engineering or related experience, which can come professional experience and/or internships and coops.


+ RF, Digital and analog test / troubleshooting skills


+ Ability to travel as required


+ U.S. Citizenship is required

+ Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering


+ A continuous improvement mindset to enhance manufacturing test methods through process modernization


+ Sound understanding of statistical analysis techniques


+ Test software development skills. Test Expert a plus!


+ Demonstrated success working in a fast paced manufacturing environment


+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills


+ Active clearance
