We currently have an opportunity for a talented TEST ENGINEER to work with automated test equipment at our Torrance, California location.  In this position you will design, implement, and maintain control and analysis software, commercial test equipment, and specialized test equipment for microwave power module module (MPM) and High Voltage DC Power Supply testing.  You will also work with test engineers and other personnel to improve test methodology, Software design and operation, and design, implement, and maintain databases containing test data generated by automated systems.  In addition, you'll be responsible for generating test reports for internal and external customers. 

You will need at least eight years of engineering experience, preferably with a background in automated test systems.


  • Experience in systems engineering of automated test and measurement systems from inception through deployment along with RF test equipment knowledge with an emphasis on microwave instrumentation.
  • Experience with computer interfacing, driver development, and control of equipment
  • Experience with both procedural programming and object oriented programming
  • Experience with RF test signals, using network analyzers and performing analysis for deviations and issues
  • Must have experience with Visual Studio .NET for Windows Forms applications and with migrating legacy code, such as Visual Basic, to this environment.
  • A bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer engineering or other relevant field
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills are necessary.

    The Exceptional Candidate will exhibit:

    • Knowledge of switching converter topologies and control feedback loop design
    • Experience with troubleshooting high voltage modules, PWAs
    • Experience with component failure analysis
    • Preferred candidate will have experience with Measurement Studio by National Instruments and with C programming. 
    • Electronics knowledge is a plus.
