The Verification (I&V) group within the Systems Integration and Test Directorate is seeking candidates for the position of Test and Information Assurance to perform a role that includes Systems Administration, Test with a focus on security for development and production programs.
The selected candidate will perform a wide variety of information assurance and information technology functions for integration test equipment support and function as a cross program representative for customer equipment. Candidate should have experience in functioning as an advisor to a team and in security-focused system administration of Windows-based environments. This position ensures that system hardware, operating systems, software, and related procedures adhere to organizational and security-based policies. Coordination duties will involve communication between multiple programs and customer.
Further responsibilities include developing, maintaining and enforcing security standard operating procedures for integration test equipment.
U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance as of day one of employment.
Job Description:
The position is located in Tucson Arizona with responsibilities for information assurance and system administration including the following:
The candidate will work with multiple programs; their test equipment teams, customer and a third party validator to determine and implement appropriate security controls on test equipment systems. Coordinate the checkout of systems for use in field events and ensure the availability of the equipment to support concurrent tests.
Accountable for maintaining standard operating procedures in alignment with customer/government security requirements.
Coordinate with Information Assurance and Information Technology regarding the information system for performing vulnerability scans on test equipment.

Develop, maintain and improve security processes and procedures to meet customer requirements
Setup and maintain systems including installation, configuration, and updating of hardware and software
Install and configure security-relevant software and perform security related compliance documentation on specific integration test equipment
Compile security compliance results for regular reporting to the customer and third party validator
Ensure proper system configuration and functionality prior to field deployment
Coordinate the implementation and troubleshooting of technical security controls
Update malicious code detection systems (e.g. Antivirus definitions)
Create and modify user accounts and associated access control lists
Coordinate the installation of software patches, updates, and operating system updates
Perform and maintain system inventories (hardware and software)
Coordinate with programs and customers for funding, ordering and deployment of hardware and software
Communicate directly with customers to define required tools and resources, investigate new procedures, and / or identify and resolve Information Technology issues
Required Education, Skills, and Experience:
U.S. Citizenship required
Required Skills:
A minimum of 4 years relevant and recent experience with configuration, system administration and operation of classified Windows network servers and workstations.
Experience with classified server and workstation assessment and hardening using various information system security assessment/hardening tools DISA STIGs, SCAP, ACAS, HBSS, Retina, Nessus and similar tools.
Experience successfully and effectively interacting with internal and external customers (DSS, ISSPs, ISRs, DAOs, Program Managers, etc.)
Experience researching compliance issues, and formulating recommendations to management
DoD 8570.01 IAT Level 2 (requires one or more of the following Professional Certifications: CCNA Security, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, SSCP)
Experience Participating in the End to End testing with the Platform Integration Flight Test team for the appropriate control laptops prior to deploying laptops into the field
Experience providing programmatic coordination and technical oversight of units under tests that entails the build, test and integration, including review and analysis of acceptance data for both lab and field test activities
Experience Compiling and analyzing test data and provide detailed reports of the results
Desired Skills:
In-depth knowledge of NIST special publications, CNSS policies and instructions, and other requirements documents associated with the Risk Management Framework (RMF)
Windows Computing Environment certifications
Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written modes, and be able to author and present subject specific presentations.
Demonstrate strong analytical and problem solving skills
Able to perform successfully in an environment with frequent and direct interaction with customers and peers
Support, create and present Consent to Ship (CTS) and Test Readiness Review (TRR) packages
Able to work well in diverse teams and the ability to multi-task
Customer oriented and results driven
Required Education:
Bachelors degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) field and minimum of 4 years of related experience
This position requires the eligibility to obtain a security clearance.
Non-US citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance.
The Defense Industrial Security Clearance Office (DISCO), an agency of the Department of Defense, handles and adjudicates the security clearance process.
Security clearance factors include, but are not limited to, allegiance to the US, foreign influence, foreign preference, criminal conduct, security violations and drug involvement.
