Temporary Nurse Aides Urgently Needed to Assist During National Crisis

Brookside Care Strategies is a Long Term Care facility located in Muncie Indiana. We care for Intellectually Disabled residents. Due to the nationwide shortage of healthcare workers we are seeking the help of individuals with a heart for caring for others and a desire to assist during one of our nations greatest time of need. You do not need to have healthcare experience to be a Temporary Nurse Aide. We will provide an 8 hour training course.

Job Duties: Answers call lights to determine and assist with resident's needs. Assists residents with Activities of Daily Living including: grooming, oral hygiene, bathing, hair, and incontinence care. Assists residents with feeding. Assists resident with ambulation for short distances within facility. Takes and records temperature, blood pressure, pulse and respiration rates, and food and fluid intake and output, as directed by nurse. Performs other tasks as assigned. Documentation on flow sheets as directed. Reports to Charge Nurse or designee on progress/lack of progess in achieving restorative goals. Skills/Abilities: Ability to react decisively and quickly in emergency situations. Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families and co-workers. No experience is required. Completion of the AHCA Temporary Nurse Aide online course is required to begin employment.
