Most importantly, with everything we do, we put learning first. **What You'll Do Here:** + Work under the supervision of the publisher, executive editor, or managing editor + Assist in managing the development of materials for print and electronic deliveryincluding student books, ancillaries, and tech productsat all stages of the development process + Analyze content and write editorial development guidelines + Under supervision, provide direction to writers in terms of content suitability, accuracy, style, format, and structure + Review and fact check content + Rewrite content when necessary + Attend audio recordings and review audio + Create and maintain editorial schedules + Problem-solve daily process issues + Prepare project documentation such as design memos, art logs, audio scripts, bookmaps + Bring projects to completion within specified deadlines and budgets + Help gather and analyze input from the markets + Assist in entering, updating, and managing product information on internal systems (e.g. IPS) + Help organize and maintain project materials in repositories + Help coordinate and efficiently monitor the transmittal of materials between in-house staff and outside project members (freelancers, authors, etc.) + Perform other duties as needed to meet the goals of the department **Skills You Will Need Here:** + Undergraduate degree or equivalent + Minimum 2 years of experience with ESL publishing and/or ESL teaching experience + Strong organizational and interpersonal skills + Excellent written and verbal communication skills + Strong attention to detail + Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while adhering to established deadlines + Must be innovative, highly motivated and team oriented + MA in TESOL/TEFL preferred **Job Locations** _US-MA-Boston_ **Posted Date** _1 week ago_ _(5/18/2020 10:46 AM)_ **_Requisition ID_** _2020-8688_ **_Job Function_** _Editorial_ Cengage is proud to be an Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action employer.
