**This position requires individual to work at our Aurora location.  Remote is not available.

The Systems Administrator position will report up under the Contact Center Services organization and will have the responsibility to install, repair, and maintain Voice & Data systems as they relate to Call Center and branch office applications. Has the ability to troubleshoot IP telephony and contact center problems with little or no supervision. Provides technical support and training to all telephony users. Familiar with standard concepts, practices and procedures within the Telecommunications field.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

 

  • Field trouble tickets and phone calls from the Helpdesk
  • Diagnose and solve telecommunications problems specifically surrounding the Avaya Platform and the Avaya Adjuncts
  • Implement changes and maintain the operation and repair of all related equipment
  • Set up user accounts and maintain databases
  • Consult with End Users concerning their needs and evaluate their requests or requirements
  • Responsible for Daily, Weekly, Monthly, Bi-monthly and Annual Preventive Maintenance of equipment
  • Responsible for System Backups where applicable
  • Train users in use of equipment and/or software
  • Escalate problems to appropriate I.T. teams based on established guidelines and procedures
  • Prepare technical reports or related documentation
  • Study technical manuals to keep up with changes in technology
  • Obtain quotes from vendors for equipment repair or purchase
  • Follow all applicable security procedures as they relate to equipment or applications
  • Visit workplaces or conduct surveys to determine present and future user needs
  • Work with engineers, analysts, programmers, technicians and managers in the design, testing and evaluations of systems
  • Comply with all standards, Service Level Agreements and Change Management policies as established by IT Management
  • Use project management techniques for assigned projects
  • Participate in on-call rotation
