Technical Information Security Officer

Technical Information Security Officer (VP) is a senior level position responsible for driving efforts to prevent and respond to information/data breaches and cyber-attacks. The overall objective of this role is to ensure the execution of Information Security directives and activities in alignment with Citi's security policy and standards and regulatory standards.


+ Ensure technology compliance with Information Security policies and standards. Acts as leader for the security of business applications/projects for the assigned application portfolio

+ Manage IS risk during the development of new products and applications, ensuring that risks are mitigated during the development process and prior to production deployment

+ Advise the business of the appropriate controls for safeguarding sensitive information based on Citis IS Policy and standards

+ Collaborate with domain architects, project managers, and ISOs to provide technical IS expertise when needed

+ Drives consistent implementation and execution of Information Security in programs/projects for a set of business applications

+ Support GISOs in managing delivery of global information security programs

+ Partner with business, technology, and IS program stakeholders to identify, assess, mitigate, monitor, and report on information security risk

+ Manage resolution of vulnerabilities or issues detected in an application or infrastructure

+ Lead information security assessments on cloud computing technologies; partnering with business and technology to perform security assessment for projects using cloud providers such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, and others.


+ Bachelors degree/University degree or equivalent experience

+ 8+ years of experience in Information Security area related to one or more of the areas: Security architecture, Security risk assessments, Security event management, ethical hacking, Secure Application Design and Development.

+ Possess Security certifications such as CISSP, CSSLP, CCSP, OCSP etc.

+ Must have a strong knowledge in Application Security, Cryptography, Key management, API Security, and Cloud Security.

+ Preferably have a good understanding of the wealth management domain.

+ Good understanding of Agile/Waterfall SDLC, application security risk assessment, and ethical hacking processes

+ Strong risk management and risk articulation skills. Must be able to apply Risk management principles and balance IS priority

+ Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as a team member with minimal direction.

+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with all levels.

+ Ability to build and maintain positive working relationships across project and teams
