Tech Support Engineer II

Job Purpose:

The Technical Support Engineer II assists with the initiation, design, development, and implementation of product improvements and changes. This position also provides real time technical support to North America Operations field support and Call Center personnel.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for responding to technical procedural inquiries and concerns.
  • Provide email support to International field team members.
  • Trend, analyze and interpret field generated data.
  • Advise a course of action for problem resolution.
  • Acts as a liaison between Field Service team and Development as part of task teams.
  • Provide Technical Support input for tech bulletins, Field actions, CAPA's etc.
  • Participate on project teams responsible for implementing new product Development and product improvement projects.
  • Build and maintain all departmental and service support related documents.
  • Ensure accuracy/traceability of all records to comply with GMP, ISO, FDA and company policies regarding compliance.
  • Work with team members to problem solve and achieve goals.
  • Collaborates with all partners to utilize Danaher Business System (DBS) for ongoing process improvement.
  • Take a systems approach to instrument issues evaluating implications of both software and hardware on product performance.
  • Maintain accurate and timely record keeping within a learning management system (LMS) for all personal training as well as any training delivered.
  • Develop creative and effective support strategies, providing feedback to and drafting product documentation such as, service manuals and procedures.
  • Provides recommendations in development projects as a customer and service advocate.
  • Perform other related duties as and when assigned

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in engineering, science or related technical field with 2+ years related instrument experience preferably in the medical diagnostic field; or
    • Master's degree in engineering, science or related technical field with 0-2 years€™ experience.
    • Must be able to support 24/7 on call as needed.
    • Ability to travel as the need arises, approximately 25% or less
    • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
    • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate information to multi-functional audiences and management.
    • Proficient computer skills and experience with relevant software programs (Oracle Business Intelligence Module Skill)
    • Demonstrates technical experience, strong analytical skills, and good judgment to solve problems; analyses information and standard practices to make judgments.
    • Ability to learn and retain technical information.
    • Understands complex technical and non-technical documentation and optimally communicates with internal and external contacts to ensure a positive outcome.
