Intelligence, Information and Services (IIS) is seeking a successful candidate to support its Rapid Aerostat Initial Deployment (RAID) programs Logistics Support Center (LSC) located in Charleston, SC. Under general supervision of the logistic lead, candidate will use established process and procedures to perform a wide variety of tasks related to shipping, receiving, packaging, material movement, inventory control and storage and material kitting. Duties will include, coordinate and report status of tasks in assigned areas and check own work for correctness, load and unload shipments from carrier trucks, process incoming material by verifying material against receiving documents noting and reporting discrepancies and obvious damages, investigate receiving inconsistences and/or discrepancies and entering data into automated system for unreceivable material, work to resolve unreceivable material issues with procurement organization, verify material requirements and expedite flow of material to meet daily production needs, accurately input data into the asset management system and route material into a controlled storage areas, store, stack or palletize material in accordance with prescribed storage methods, issue material from controlled storage areas to meet production floor demands, generate shipping requests, box, palletize or crate material for shipment, arrange transportation and trace shipments to destination, and other duties as assigned. Manages, oversees and coordinates day-to-day warehousing activities. Supervises the activities of the warehouse floor operations, ensuring operations are productive, safe and accurate. Plans work schedules, assign tasks appropriately and appraises results Manages the stock control processes and ensure reconciliation with the RAID Contractor Logistics Support (RCLS) Database. Ensures the execution and continuous improvement of standard logistics processes, such as replenishment systems, data interchange systems, demand management, electronic data systems administration, transportation operations, and related functions Complete inventories of all equipment, packaged items and rolling stock to be shipped. Select the appropriate packaging and shipping container(s) and materials for the items to be shipped. Complete all required documentation for shipping (i.e., DD Form 1149, Funds Verification & Use Authorization (FVUA), TAC, etc.), HAZMAT documentation and obtain Government authorization to ship. Manage and track shipments utilizing the RAID Contractor Logistics Support (RCLS) Database. Prepare applicable HAZMAT materials for shipment, to include Safety Data Sheet (SDS) for all hazardous materials, and ensure each hazard is packed & prepared properly IAW applicable shipping regulations. Prepare, Shippers Declaration for Dangerous Goods (AMC Form 1033), and determine handling/storage directions, disposal and provide regulatory references. Package, palletize and/or secure all equipment in accordance with transportation and shipping requirements to prevent excessive movement that could result in damage during transport. Obtain the weight, height, width, and length of the shipping container(s) and/or rolling stock, and clearly annotate the dimensions on the outside of containers/platforms. Operate vehicles to transport passengers, material or merchandise Required Skills: 2+ years of applicable logistics/warehouse experience. Ability to work under general supervision with strong interpersonal skills. Working knowledge of SAP with regard to receiving transactions. Must be able to multi task, prioritize work, and be adaptive to change. Must have and maintain a valid drivers license. Experience with Microsoft office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint). Must be fork lift certified or able to pass a certification test for the operation of a forklift. Experience with material control database systems. Able to operate manual material handling equipment, pallet jack, push carts, etc. Must be able to withstand physical demands of a warehouse environment: seasonal hot/cold temperatures, bending, squatting, lifting/carrying up to 40 pounds, and standing for long periods of time. Desired Skills: Experience with the RAID Contractor Logistics Support (RCLS) Database Knowledge of RAID Tower system hardware and components Working knowledge of SAP or Invoicing, Receipt, Acceptance and Property Transfer (iRAPT) (formally Wide Area Work Flow (WAWF)) HAZMAT Dangerous Goods IATA and DOT certification. Familiarity with DOD logistic practices and forms, DD250, DD1348, DD1149, etc. Required Education : BA/BS related to this job description or equivalent combination of education and experience (Bachelor's Degree - 8 years of additional applicable experience).
