**The Tax Senior Manager** accomplishes results through the management of professional team(s) and department(s). Integrates subject matter and industry expertise within a defined area. Contributes to standards around which others will operate. Requires in-depth understanding of how areas collectively integrate within the sub-function as well as coordinate and contribute to the objectives of the entire function. Requires basic commercial awareness. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required to guide, influence and convince others, in particular colleagues in other areas and external customers. Has responsibility for volume, quality, timeliness, and delivery of end results of an area. Involved in resource planning, innovation, process improvements, maintaining the risk and control environment and talent development. Full management responsibility of a team to include duties such as performance evaluation and management, compensation and hiring.


**Responsibilities:**


+ Responsible for the overall management of the Custody client investigations and client servicing team.

+ Direct interaction with Citi's external clients ensuring queries are responded to timely, and properly, instilling trust and confidence.

+ Drive service delivery programs including various client touch-points, quality metrics management, and issue management

+ Contributes to the planning, aggregation and filing of information required to satisfy client and regulatory reporting.

+ Will participate in managing payments and reconciliations to tax authorities in compliance with specific tax regulations.

+ Manages complex/critical professional disciplinary areas.

+ Leads, directs, and manages a team of professionals.

+ Ability to drive change management, innovation, and development of operational and technical processes and controls.

+ Uses a comprehensive knowledge of multiple areas within a function and how they interact to achieve the goals of the function and applies in-depth knowledge of the business impact of technical contributions.

+ Regularly interacts with peers within the company and externally, including clients, regulators, and professional organizations.

+ Provides operational guidance to internal and external clients on the implications of business and regulatory trends, issues, operating environment changes and firm or business unit strategy.

+ Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.


**Qualifications:**


+ 6+ yrs of related experience in financial services

+ Understanding of U.S. tax information reporting rules applicable to U.S. Persons and non-U.S. Persons

+ Technical aptitude with ability to drive change and implement technical enablers

+ Able to drive operational excellence and operate in a highly regulated environment

+ Familiarity with IRS regulations

+ Strong client service mentality

+ Must be eligible to work in US. This position does not offer VISA sponsorship.

+ This location will be at our Tampa, FL office and is not eligible for remote work.

+ Proven success with leading teams

+ Understanding and working knowledge of IRS Forms W-9 and W-8 and their associated requirements; Forms 1098, 1099 series, and 1042-S; Forms 945 and 1042

+ Project Management experience preferred, and strong organizational skills required

+ Well versed in standard desktop technology with advanced Excel skills. Visio and Access experience preferred

+ Ability to interact with all levels of internal customers and senior management

+ Liaison with Corporate Tax for complex tax advisory inquiries and policy requirements
