In 2017, Northrop Grumman Australia was awarded a contract to perform the acquisition, construction and support of the second satellite ground station in the east of Australia. The contract will also deliver an integrated wideband SATCOM network management system to improve robustness, capacity and efficiency of the ADF SATCOM capability.

We are seeking a Systems Engineer (Integration) responsible for integrating systems, subsystems, products and external interfaces.

**Key duties & responsibilities:**

+ Perform the integration of systems, subsystems, products and external interfaces, including developing integration plans, procedures and reports;
+ Establish and maintain integration environments;
+ Conduct and document technical trade studies;
+ Provide technical support to the Test team and other teams;
+ Write engineering and analysis papers and reports;
+ Review and contribute to technical reviews (internal and external), test documentation, analysis papers and design documentation;
+ Contribute to the review, development, and revision of project procedures and work instructions;
+ Collaborate with project staff to achieve outcomes;

**Essential Qualifications & Experience:**

+ Bachelor of Engineering (or equivalent), preferably in an IT related field
+ Experience in the conduct of Systems Engineering for Projects
+ Well-developed written, and verbal, communication skills
+ Must be an Australian citizen with a current Negative Vetting 1 Australian Government Security Clearance.

**Desired experience**

+ Qualifications or training in Systems Engineering
+ Experience performing integration of systems, subsystems, products or external interfaces
+ Experience in using integration environments to synthesise and test systems, sub-system and products
+ Experience with Information and Communications Technologies
+ Experience with Defence project and ICT change management environments
+ Experience working with teams over disparate locations
+ Experience in agile methodologies and execution
+ Experience in Satellite Communications and/or Network Management Systems

**Note:** As a Defence security clearance is required for this role, applicants must be Australian Citizens. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) are applicable, as such your nationality may be a factor in determining your suitability for this role.
