Overview

Responsible for overall support, operation, backup, and recovery of all Microsoft Windows based servers and server applications.  Responsible for Application Support as it relates to Windows, Active Directory and cloud technologies. This is a remote (work from home) position.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for overall administration and operation of all Windows servers.
  • Ensures all Acosta Windows servers are backed up and recoverable.
  • Installs and configures new Windows servers on-premises and in the cloud.
  • Administration and Support of Office 365, Azure Cloud Services and Microsoft Active Directory Services.
  • Ability to work in both an independent and collaborative team environment.
  • Assists developers with application troubleshooting related to the Windows Server Infrastructure.
  • Create and maintain documentation related to managed systems and servers.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects in a Windows Administration and Engineering role.
  • Responsible for maintaining and following change control processes.
  • Evaluates and tests new server and technologies.
  • Assists Manager in developing and maintaining server standards and best practices.
  • Ability to work after hours when needed and in an on-call rotation.
  • Help to Implement new Systems to support business efforts.

  • Support and maintain Microsoft Active Directory Services.
  • Provides third-level support for PC issues related to servers.
  • Assists Manager in determining needed hardware and software upgrades of servers and network infrastructure.
  • Creates and maintains systems and disaster recovery documentation.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by Acosta Data Center Services Management.

Qualifications

  • Minumum Education Requirements:
    • High School Diploma / GED
    • Other (Preferred) (Technical Certifications MCSE, VCP, RHCE, CCNA, ITIL etc\u2026.)
  • 3 years overall IT experience (level 3 support or higher).
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server technologies.
  • Scripting knowledge with a focus on PowerShell.
  • Firm understanding of TCP/IP, VPN, Group Policy, DHCP, DNS, IIS, Exchange and ADFS.
  • Strong time management skills.
  • Understanding of application, server, and network security and compliance requirements.
  • Business communication skills
  • Good understanding of various Windows Server platforms.
