Millions of customers and developers rely on the online retail, storage, compute, and virtualized services of Amazon.com (http://amazon.com/) (http://amazon.com/) and Amazon Web Services (AWS). We run at a massive, and ever-growing scale. Our customers expect the highest quality of service. We rapidly integrate new technologies into our customer offerings as we expand and our success depends on the world-class network infrastructure backed by our engineers.
We build and deploy DNS Services in new regions and provide outward-facing support for the AWS DNS team, which is part of Route 53, and we are seeking enthusiastic and talented Systems Engineers to build our newest services and support our internal customers while executing tasks and hands on troubleshooting of our large-scale DNS platforms, configuration management systems and real-time system status APIs. We are customer obsessed. Our job is to make sure service teams and internal customers have a frictionless experience with DNS. Our team members are expected to relentlessly focus on the security, availability, scalability, and performance of our Internet-scale services which power the platforms that Amazon's global Retail, AWS and Device businesses depend upon.
Key job responsibilities

* You operate independently and drive issues to resolution whenever possible while always knowing when and how to escalate appropriately
* You contribute to the creation and maintenance of internal and external documentation and playbooks
* You write tools, templates and utilities to improve operational efficiency of your service
Above it all, you ... work hard, have fun, make history!
