As a Technical Expert , you are responsible to provide technical support with high degree of Customer Happiness by meeting Service Level Agreements (SLA) and process compliance. You will perform business impact analysis and risk assessments to reduce the likelihood of significant service outage or disasters.

Your Role and Responsibilities
  • Audit Backup Policies and environments to ensure integrity of Backup & Restore activities.
  • Pro-actively determine possible faults by execution of predetermined health and operational checks to provide the highest backup success rate.
  • Participate in recovery activities when required
  • Analyze and resolve escalated problem with in target timelines
  • perform Hardware/Software fault detection
  • perform coordination and timely follow-up with OEM for issue resolution
  • Manage data movement within Backup Servers
  • Participate and Lead in SEV1 incidents
  • Prepare RCA for SEV1 issues with respect to Backup.
  • perform capacity planning and backup&restore performance tuning
  • Upgrade backup software, apply patches, and ensure physical security of data.


Required Professional and Technical Expertise
Minimum 6years experience in Backup (5years relevant experience in TSM/Spectrum Protect)
Experience of Installing/Configuring/Upgrading Spectrum Protect Components.
You Should have performed at least one phase in Implementation, Configuration, Migration and Steady State support phases of the Backup Management.
Strong oral and written communication skills to explain technical issues in both a factual and well-structured manner.

  • Proficient in working with high availability environment along with alignment to process (ITIL)
  • You love collaborative environments that use agile methodologies to encourage creative design thinking and find innovative ways to develop with cutting edge technologies
  • Ambitious individual who can work under their own direction towards agreed targets/goals and with creative approach to work
  • Intuitive individual with an ability to manage change and proven time management
  • Proven interpersonal skills while contributing to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
  • Up-to-date technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing publications
