Cards Data Platform and Process Transformation Senior Project Lead
The purpose of the Data Platform and Process Transformation initiative is to significantly enhance how key data elements and portfolio metrics are produced (e.g. financial ledger, customer warehouse), delivered and consumed across the U.S. Cards organization, with the goal of providing portfolio managers and senior management timely, replicable, reconciled (gold source), granular and consistent information on the performance and health of each Card portfolio in order to enhance and speed up day to day decision making.
This individual will be responsible to:
  • Lead and be accountable for the US Branded Cards Data Platform and Process Transformation initiative, defining goals for, partnering with and driving results across key business and functional teams including, Finance, Risk Management, Decision Management, Portfolio Management, Acquisition/ECM Marketing teams and Operations & Technology
  • Engage regularly with all key stakeholders (including US Cards Head, CFO and CRO) to review evolution of problem statements, progress against commonly defined objectives, identify challenges and propose alternative solutions. 
  • Lead all aspects of the Program Management Office for this initiative (e.g. governance structure, management routines, detailed project plans, metric and milestone definition), including break down and alignment of problem statement against responsible functional group. 
  • Manage all resources dedicated to this project, including relationship with external vendors (e.g. technology, software, platform), and consultants (e.g. project management, strategy, execution)
  • Define, consolidate and track budget needs across functional teams to deliver on initiative, including hiring of external vendors, working closely with procurement to negotiate contracts and define engagements, and manage costs to meet yearly budget
  • Define and track productivity and performance metrics across portfolios to measure benefit of initiative, including cost synergies achieved through platform consolidation, automation and process streamlining. 
  • Push down goals and deliverables to each functional group, and build a tracking and monitoring process to ensure each is held accountable to and delivers against the common objectives, including review of resources being dedicated by each group
  • Navigate the various Citi approval processes while engaging the right level of resources across the Bank to drive potential investment decision making
  • Leverage a collaborative and agile operating model across to engage key stakeholders, cross functional teams and Technology to streamline execution and foster innovative thinking


  • Bachelors Degree required, Masters degree strongly preferred in analytical field (such as Finance, Engineering, Statistics, or Mathematics) or MBA
  • 15+ years of experience in Financial Services and/or Cards business
  • Strong leadership skills. Proven track record of bringing diverse groups and perspectives to work against a common goal 
  • Ability to interact and clearly communicate with senior members of an organization
  • Strong Project Management skills with experience leading large cross functional initiatives
  • Proven track record as change agent, with ability to encourage and embrace innovative ideas and solutions
  • Knowledge of Forecasting platforms, database management and tools is preferred, not required
