**Position Summary:**


The Vessel Specialist is responsible for
hitting their area sales plan through soliciting orders to sell the Companys
Ablation and LigaSure products, representing the Company in accordance with its
policies, and maintaining an awareness of local competitive conditions and a
territory business plan which enables attainment of the sales plan given local
market conditions.


**KeyResponsibilities:**


+ Attains allassigned sales quotas.

+ Maintains andincreases sales volume of assigned accounts or territories.

+ Solicitsorders effectively from present and prospective customers for the assignedproducts.

+ Providesuseful and practical service to customers.

+ Seeks newcustomers effectively, and formulates and follows plans for such action asdirected by the Regional Sales Manager.

+ Seeks newuses and applications for Company products with present and prospectivecustomers.

+ Assistspresent and prospective customers in adopting Company products to their ownrequirements and specifications.

+ Authorizesreturn goods in accordance with Company policy.

+ Adjustscustomer complaints in accordance with Company policy, and advises salesmanagement promptly of any situation beyond the Sales Representatives scope ofauthority.

+ Complies withall Company policies, instructions, and directives for the fulfillment ofCompany objectives and for the maximum profitable sales.

+ Maintainsawareness of competitive products and marketing practices, and keeps salesmanagement informed concerning them.

+ Preparessales audits and analyses of present and prospective customers in accordancewith Company procedures and instructions.

+ Assists indeveloping sales forecasts, territory potentials, workload analyses, callprograms, and routes.

+ Maintainsup-to-date customer record books and other records in accordance with Companyinstructions.

+ Prepares andsubmits expense reports, sales, marketing, and consignment reports, andterritory business plan as required.

+ Submits anyspecial reports regarding the operation of the territory, acceptance ofproducts, or competitive conditions as may be requested.

+ Operatesassigned sales territory within regional expense budget.

+ Recommendsthe addition of new products and the modification or deletion of presentproducts to the line as appropriate.

+ Attends andparticipates in sales meetings, training programs, conventions, and trade showsas directed.

+ Maintains anawareness of likely candidates for the sales force and refers them to theRegional Sales Manager.

+ Assists inthe field training of any Sales Representative as requested.

+ CooperateswithMedtronicpersonnel onthe execution of Company programs.


OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

+ Performsother duties and responsibilities, as required.


PRINCIPAL WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:


+ Works closelywith Regional Sales Manager in all areas of position responsibilities.

+ Works withother Sales Representatives and Senior Sales Representatives.

+ Works withMedtronicsales management and marketingpersonnel.

+ Works withCustomer Service and Credit/Contracts as necessary.

+ Worksdirectly with present and prospective customers in adopting Company products totheir own requirements and specifications, and product complaints.

+ Works withother Company management personnel, as requested.


JOB QUALIFICATIONS:


KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, AND ABILITY:


+ Knowledge ofthe domestic ligation (to include ultrasonic), electrosurgery, MinimallyInvasive Surgery markets andMedtronics products competing in thesemarkets.

+ Ability tosolicit orders from present and prospective customers for the assignedproducts.

+ Ability toprepare sales audits and analyses of present and prospective customers inaccordance with Company procedures and instructions.

+ Ability toassist in the developing of sales forecasts, territory potentials, workloadanalyses, call programs, and routes.

+ Effectiveoral and written communication skills to meet sales objectives.

+ Effectiveorganizational and motivational skills necessary to perform related duties.


**Must Have: Minimum Requirements**


**MUST HAVE:**


**EDUCATION:**


+ **BachelorsDegree or equivalent from an accredited university.**


**EXPERIENCE:**


+ **Five (5)years successful sales experience, preferably in a medical device or OR salescapacity.**
