Job summary
Employer: Amazon.com Services LLC
Position: Support Engineer IIExt
Location: Seattle, WA
Multiple positions available:
1. Deep dive technical troubleshooting for voice call issues related to SIP (session initiation protocol) and RTP (Real-time transport Protocol).
2. Troubleshooting technical issues with Amazon proprietary software used in our SBC (session Board Controllers) hosts.
3. Performing MCMs (Change Management Process) to update SBC fleets for new software deployment, regular patching and new host deployments.
4. Interacting with global Telecom carriers to perform standard operational procedure such as phone number ordering, phone number porting and call troubleshooting.
5. Revising and creating process documentation and troubleshooting runbooks.
6. Participating in the team on-call rotation in support of high severity customer and service impacting the tickets.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
A Bachelors degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Information Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field and 5 years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation. In the alternative, employer will accept 7 years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.
Must have experience in the following:
1) 5 years of experience in technical troubleshooting/support.
2) 5 years of experience in Linux systems administration.
3) 5 years of operational experience in a 24/7 production environment.
4) 2 years of troubleshooting telephony systems.
