Job Summary

AECOM is hiring a qualified Supply Technician in support of U.S. Navy F/A-18 E/F Aviation Maintenance Operations (CSFWL) at NAS Oceana VA. Candidate will be tasked with designated as the IMRL Support Equipment program manager. Responsibilities are to account/inventory, receive, store and distribution of all assigned components related to F/A-18 organizational level maintenance.

Primary duties involve analytical work in managing and controlling material. Apply knowledge of systems, techniques, and underlying management concepts for determining, regulating, or controlling the level and flow. Supervise personnel in documentation and movement of material.

  • Knowledge of specific programs used in providing the material support needs peculiar to assigned items of equipment, weapon systems, or special programs such as maintenance, or modification to include IETMS and NATEC web based programs.

  • Requirements Determination - Planning for and determining current and future supply requirements to meet customer needs as it pertains to operational requirements.

  • Material Distribution - Planning and determining the distribution and positioning of supplies.

  • Analyzing planned or scheduled material requirements and forecasts to determine categories and quantities of items.

  • Utilization of increasingly sophisticated electronic data processing systems as integral parts of material control, record, and data communications systems. Must have a working knowledge of excel.

  • Review and analyze operational reports and plans to include AMSRR, work schedules, planned requirements, and other data and policy to include COMNAVAIRFOR instruction series to determine and advise on compatibility of planned support programs.

  • Determining, initiating, and coordinating required actions by establishing and maintaining liaison with inventory managers, planning organizations and customers to schedule or advise as to timing of procurement, delivery and transportation.

  • Initiating, developing, installing, or administering a control program.

  • Develop long-range material support plans.

  • Control the distribution and/or redistribution of stock.

  • Managing items with difficult supply and demand patterns related to seasonal factors, program changes, changes in end-use applications and similar elements.

  • Making supply system decisions which consider more than the status of an individual item or the problem presented by a particular supply transaction, e.g., interchangeability of items among different equipment or systems, prioritization of customers needs based on operational requirements.

  • Reviewing planned work programs, schedules, and other planning data, advising others regarding major categories of material which will be needed and pointing out material areas most likely to cause difficulties.

  • Serving as a central point of contact and exchange of information for personnel of supply, production, maintenance, and other organizations relative to material support problems affecting an assigned program or project area.

  • Supervise personnel in processing paperwork and movement of materials.

  • May operate hand or power trucks in performing warehousing duties.

  • Work is performed in a shop environment, aircraft hangars and flight line with frequent exposure to extreme weather conditions, disagreeable fumes, and hazards of moving vehicles such as forklifts, sweepers, tow tractors, and aircraft.

  • Work is frequently performed in high noise level areas, requiring hearing protection.

  • Candidate must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

  • Perform all other positions related duties as assigned or requested.

Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands:

  • Constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication, constant mental alertness, must possess planning/organizing skills, and must be able to work under deadlines.

Minimum Requirements

  • Must have high school or equivalent diploma with five (5) years actual F/A-18 E/F/G O-level Maintenance Control experience.

  • Must possess thorough knowledge of Naval supply system procurement, inventory, tracking, and reporting requirement.

  • Must have completed Navy Aviation Maintenance Control Management for Optimized Organizational Maintenance Activity (OOMA).

  • Knowledge of governing supply systems/programs, policies, and procedures is required.

  • Experience is required in the following systems: OOMA, IETMS, NATEC, One Touch and Microsoft Excel.

  • Must be able to obtain an approved status from the Contractor Verification System which includes a 7 year back ground check and obtain a Security Clearance for Public trust and obtain a Common Access Card (CAC).

  • Possess a valid state drivers license.

  • Due to the nature of the work candidate must be US Citizen.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior F/A-18 Naval Aviation O-Level experience at the E-7 or above paygrade.

  • Supervisor FAM C-600-3867

  • F/A-18 E/F/G weapon system experience desired
