  • Supervise and provide daily support to the launch vehicle integration technicians
  • Plan, schedule, and assign work to direct reports and assess completed work
  • Project future impacts and energize employees to get tasks done on a deadline-basis with high quality
  • Proactively solve safety issues and track upgrades
  • Provide one on one time with individuals on your team on a weekly basis
  • Ensure employees have the training, tools, and materials they need to carry out their duties.
  • Monitor, update, and approve employee time keeping records
  • Effectively communicate how successful performance is measured and provide collaborative direction to team members; recommend performance standards and ratings
  • Provide leadership by setting an example, taking input, and translating that feedback into the team's strategic initiatives
  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair equipment and instrumentation as needed
  • Work directly with leadership and engineers to plan integration and test operations
  • Obtain and maintain licenses, operator permits, or certification as required for your team
  • Perform other related duties, as assigned, for the purpose of ensuring an efficient and effective work environment


  • High school diploma or equivalency certificate
  • 5+ years working in aviation or aerospace industry in a technical, hands-on capacity
  • 3+ years of experience in a leadership capacity


  • Associate degree in a related field
  • A&P certification
  • Experience authoring test plans and test procedures
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Power Point, Word, Outlook)
  • Experience with Falcon 9 and payload/fairing integration
  • Experience working with complex, multi-disciplinary system assemblies
  • Past work experience, internships, team/personal projects with aerospace vehicles/payloads, automotive, aircraft, or marine assemblies
  • Experience using mechanical schematics and procedures related to test operations
  • Demonstrated ability to be diplomatic with a variety of individuals across the organizational infrastructure
  • Experience operating and manipulating machinery and various hand and power tools requiring manual dexterity
  • Ability to rapidly change roles and responsibilities while working in a high-paced, challenging work environment


  • May be required to support on day/night shift and weekends/holidays when required by mission milestones
  • Work schedule varies depending on site operational needs, and flexibility is required
  • Must be able to lift 35 lbs. unassisted
  • Work occasionally performed in an environment requiring exposure to fumes, odors, and noise
  • Typically exposed to work in extreme outdoor environments - heat, cold, rain and ice
  • Must be willing to operate heavy machinery
  • Must be able to work at elevated heights
  • Ability to pass Air Force background checks for Cape Canaveral and Vandenberg
  • Willing to travel to other SpaceX sites as needed
