How will you make an impact?

This is a Supervisor role, reporting to the Manager, Distribution for Pharmaceutical Services Group in Greenville, NC. This role leads a team of distribution professionals for on time delivery and customer satisfaction. Ensures all duties are performed safely, accurately and, efficiently.

What will you do?

Provides leadership to assigned staff by performing the following: leading organizational change; developing and empowering staff; cultivating relationships; putting staff in a position to succeed, meeting their personal career goals while also achieving organizational goals; building effective teams that apply their diverse skills and perspectives to achieve common goals; driving engagement and creating a climate where staff are motivated to do their best. Ensures personnel conduct work in a safe and effective manner, following all applicable procedures and policies. Maintains or enhances safety awareness programs and related documentation. Takes appropriate action to correct unsafe acts, systems and procedures. Complies with relevant laws, company guidelines and requirements through adherence to company policies relating to quality, safety, housekeeping and cost effectiveness. Provides leadership, and facilitates teamwork within the warehouse operations group. Provides necessary resources for teams to fulfill objectives. Encourages team members to understand corporate and departmental goals/objectives and needs. Provides supervisory communication and/or direction to warehouse operations staff. Disseminates department and corporate information to direct reports on a timely basis. Establishes and maintains an open line of communication with all direct reports. Supports group operating goals in support of departmental and corporate objectives. Incorporates short-term goals in immediate subordinates’ annual performance plans. Initiates and implements plans to reduce costs by continuously improving efficiencies, reducing labor and material costs, and reducing maintenance costs in warehouse and materials handling areas. Maintains adequate production support facilities to produce the highest quality product in a cost-effective manner. Generates, reviews and approves work instructions and Job Safety Analysis (JSA) for warehouse operations. Ensures that materials are stored safely and properly per procedures. Maintains accurate inventory in SAP in accordance with Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP’s) while issuing materials as appropriate. Ensures that the physical location matches the SAP location. Supervises physical inventory of the warehouse as required. Coordinates training of employees in the use of the Warehouse functionality in Systems, Applications, and Products (SAP). Conducts internal audits of warehouse and monthly safety and housekeeping inspections of the area. Ensures all controlled substances are handled according to procedures. Ensures all hazardous materials are handled safely per regulations and procedures. Enters all deviations in Trackwise system for damages / discrepancies related to material handling. Works in a safe and responsible manner in order to create an injury-free and incident-free workplace. Complies with all job-related safety and other training requirements. Provides safety and compliance training to meet DOT, OSHA, FDA and Corporate requirements Performs other duties as assigned.

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required; Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Engineering, or Business Management is preferred.


  • 3 or more years of leadership experience in Logistics/Warehouse, Supply Chain, Manufacturing/Distribution Operations is required.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Project management/leadership skills.
  • Ability to effectively interact with a variety of disciplines and levels to resolve conflict.
  • Ability to develop lean and efficient business processes.
  • Strong knowledge of computer processes within a manufacturing or logistics environment.
  • Understanding of the manufacturing quality systems in a Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) environment.
  • Knowledge of truck routing and shipping hazardous materials.
  • Knowledge of DOT regulations and FDA requirements.
  • Working knowledge of SAP preferred.

Physical Requirements

  • Position requires ordinary ambulatory skills and physical coordination sufficient to move about office locations; ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch periodically for prolonged periods of time; manipulation (lift, carry, move) of light to medium weights of 10-35 pounds; arm, hand and finger dexterity, including ability to grasp and type for prolonged periods of time; visual acuity to use a keyboard, computer monitor, operate equipment, and read materials for prolonged periods of time; ability to sit, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear for prolonged periods of time.
