Our Subscription Renewal Specialist role will give you an opportunity to develop and use your interpersonal savvy to renew and sell digital resources. As a member of our dynamic Engagement Services organization, you will have an opportunity to sell well-respected products as a leader in our industry. The Subscription Renewal Specialist will be responsible for identifying and managing accounts up for renewal and working to ensure the renewal is successfully closed by communicating with accounts and the Account Managers on a consistent basis. The Subscription Renewal Specialist is responsible for following up with customers to renew subscriptions using a sales focused and consultative approach. **What You'll Do Here:** **Responsibilities include but not limited to:** + Creating relationships with existing customers over the phone expect to make a minimum of 25 calls per day, and spend a minimum of 2 hours/day selling to customers over the phone. + Maintaining and growing strong relationships with current customers. + Communicating with all renewal customers after the Renewal Letters are sent to ensure status of renewal and verify the correct contact person. + Communicating with all renewal customers during budget reviews to manage renewal status. + Identifying accounts that may not renew subscription and relay necessary information to the Account Manager immediately. + Contacting Sales Operations with the updated renewal details. + Cultivating relationships with renewal customers to ensure renewal is forthcoming. + Assisiting Account Managers in the promotion of additional products. + Providing customers with sales quotes and online demonstrations of our products. + Collaborating with other members of the Engagement Services team, Sales team and other members of the Gale team. + Managing a geographic territory + Listening to customers and prospects. + Effectively understanding customer needs, solving problems, and developing solutions to meet customer needs + Using a contact management system to plan and complete sales activities, create quotes, develop a pipeline and move opportunities through the sales process to close. **Skills You Will Need Here:** **Required:** + A bachelor's degree from an accredited 4-year college or university or equivalent experience + At least 1 year of inside (telephone) sales experience. + Previous consultative sales experience and/or training. + Experience or ability to generate and close business with existing and new customers. + Experience or strong aptitude for developing and maintaining relationships with business customers. + A positive attitude and a vigor to pursue new directions + A demonstrate ability to adapt to changing priorities + Self-motivated, goal and detail-oriented, persistent and dependable **Preferred:** + Three years or more inside (telephone) or field experience. + Experience selling to the education market. + Experience using contact management systems, such as Salesforce.com. + A demonstrated record of meeting/exceeding sales goals in a complex and changing sales environment. \#LI-DS1 **Requisition ID** _2018-4997_ **Job Function** _Outside Sales_
