These initiatives represent a continuation of the\rcompany€™s sustainability efforts since 2004, through which have already driven\rmore than 90% reduction in the greenhouse gas intensity of operations and\rfacilities.  As part of the ongoing initiative to assist our\rcustomers to realize their net-zero journey, we are investing heavily in\rtechnology, people, and processes.  We\rare looking for a specialist who can work on operationalizing the strategy by\rproviding valuable insights in GHG reduction. The candidate should be well-versed\rwith technology, policies, and plant operations to develop solutions that can\rbe deployed at our customers.

As the lead Subject Matter Expert - Carbon, you\rwill help align our business strategy with our carbon reduction strategy. You\rwill influence the investment choices we make to reduce carbon emissions and\rassert our accounting and reporting to comply with public policy frameworks and\rstandards (such as GHGP). You will assess environmental impacts across the business,\rfrom manufacturing to customers, and recommend strategies to our leaders. You\rwill work with outside standardization bodies, such as World Resources\rInstitute (WRI) and regulators, to help shape the future of carbon accounting\rby introducing the latest science, and with Science Based Targets Initiative\r(SBTi) to determine intermediate goals for us to work towards as milestones to\rachieve NetZero Carbon.

The successful candidate will have experience in\rworking with NGOs and other stakeholders on disclosing the carbon footprint of\rcomplex organizations and in advising decarbonization strategy. You will play a\rcentral role in working with external auditors on preparing our annual carbon\rfootprint, and other public voluntary or regulatory disclosures. The ideal\rcandidate will have industry experience working with public carbon accounting and\rreporting frameworks, such as Greenhouse Protocol (GHGP), Carbon Disclosure\rProject (CDP), and Science Based Target initiative (SBTi). The candidate will\rcollaborate effectively with business owners, as well as with regulators and\rstandardization bodies, to help us advance our sustainability goals.

Candidates must have strong analytical and program leadership skills, and the\rability to apply systems thinking to complex, changing problems.  They will work under the direction of senior\rbusiness and product leaders acting as a Subject Matter Expert for topics\rrelated to carbon footprint accounting and reporting and aligning our\rdecarbonization strategy to regulations and frameworks from public disclosure.  They will work with multiple Industry\rverticals to guide customers in their journey of Net Zero, including in\rmeasuring Scope 1, Scope 2, and Scope 3 emissions (including SBTi analysis),\rcircular economy, and designing interventions to reduce net emissions.

We Require

  • Master€™s degree in a field related to sustainability or environmental engineering
  • 10+ years of experience in program management and/or consulting in the sustainability field
  • 8+ years of experience working with GHGP, CDP, and other public sustainability accounting and policy frameworks
  • 5+ years of experience with regulatory processes and ongoing regulation efforts

We Value

  • Ability to deal across various levels at the customer, consultant, and regulatory authorities
  • Knowledge of methodologies and key principles associated with energy and carbon reduction, e.g. PAS 2080, whole lifecycle carbon management, PAS 2060, ISO 14064, and GHG Protocol
  • Experience using energy and carbon assessment software
  • Ability to build and develop relationships with internal and external stakeholders to drive carbon data products to completion
  • Thorough understanding on the Process Industry
  • Client relationship management skills
  • Strong analytical skills and experience in trading off competing
  • Masters/PhD in\renvironmental science, or related field
