We are seeking experienced candidates for a Senior Software Global Commodity Manager role.  This position will be located in our Houston,TX facility.

Honeywell Process Solutions (HPS) is a strategic business unit in the Performance Materials and Technologies (PMT) group.  HPS offers a full range of industry-leading automation and control solutions and advanced software applications to key vertical markets, including mining, refining, pulp & paper, power generation, chemical, and pharmaceuticals. 

This position will report to the Director of Supply Chain Mgmt. The Senior Software Global Commodity Manager will manage software and software services supply base globally. This role will engage heavily cross-functionally internally with project sourcing, marketing, design engineering, project management, NPI sourcing, finance and other functions. 

Essential Duties: 
\u2022Support development and implementation of the sourcing strategies to achieve lowest total cost, improve working capital, achieve on-time delivery, improve cycle time, and ensure early supplier involvement in product development.  
\u2022Manage software commodity in support of all HPS lines of business and product platforms for direct (factory and project) sourcing,
\u2022Manage cyber security, virtualization, embedded solutions, stand-alone software sold with our solutions, add on custom products and other types of software, 
\u2022Partner with OEM vendors providing IIOT platform for their equipment and align with business on development needs,
\u2022Partner with cloud and data analytics software and service providers for Honeywells connected growth plans,
\u2022Identifying, negotiating and contracting with global providers of it solutions and services including\\IT-enabled services, R&D services, consulting, information systems sourcing,
\u2022Developing, partnering, driving competitive source selection and negotiate contracts with software/ cloud / IIOT data analytics and process application software vendors,
\u2022Software source selection / contract-pricing negotiations / value-engineering / cost reduction,
\u2022Execute successful software pricing and long-term agreement negotiation strategies,
\u2022Software contract management including IP provisions and various licensing models,
\u2022Handle both royalty and non-royalty bearing software supply, 
\u2022Align with business on development needs,
\u2022Deal with a variety of software suppliers/license models / re-seller programs, computing hardware supply management,
\u2022Manage software supplier identification and development, 
\u2022Create a competitive supply base, 
\u2022Manage distribution agreements, 
\u2022Lead global teams and initiatives,
\u2022Lead strategic supplier management and drive supplier performance across all metrics including:  cost, delivery, working capital, lead-time. YOU MUST HAVE: 

\u2022Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, Purchasing or Operations.


\u2022Global experience in Strategic Sourcing or related field
\u2022Comprehensive software supply management experience in all or most of the areas described above
\u2022Excellent Microsoft tools usage skills (PowerPoint, Excel, and Word). 
\u2022MBA or other Master's degree preferred, emphasis in Operations and Supply Chain preferred
\u2022Direct Factory and Project Sourcing supply management experience
\u2022Developed & executed successful supply strategies
\u2022CIPS, APICs and/or CPM or equivalent certification
\u2022Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification
\u2022Experience in the following or other industries with significant software in their solutions: Controls, Industrial Equipment, Telecom, Oil and Gas, Automation, IIOT intensive businesses, Semiconductor
