Strategic Account Manager- Dispersions & Resins North America (2101649) – This is a REMOTE position with preference for candidates based in the Midwest or West Coast.

We are seeking a professional like you to lead and coordinate all commercial activities at selected customers, delivering both account retention and profitable growth. Your primary area of focus will be with customers in our Paper Coatings portfolio, with the expectation that over time you will also support key growth areas of our Construction Solutions portfolio. As the main point of contact for our customers, you will coordinate efforts and collaborate closely with Marketing, Technical, R&D, and Supply Chain teams to ensure we meet customer needs.

Formula for Success

  • Leveraging your prior commercial experience in the paper industry and its value chain, you will anticipate market trends, identify business opportunities, and utilize account management skills to promote the Dispersions and Additives portfolio
  • Develop and maintain strategic long-term business relationships with key stakeholders at respective accounts to promote our offering, increase our share of wallet, and improve customer experience.
  • Your strong business acumen will be a valued asset as you take ownership of the accounts in your portfolio, including the development and implementations of account-specific plans that are aligned with the overall business strategy.
  • Diligently executing the agreed upon account plans, you will be accountable for pricing execution and financials (volume, sales, and margin), as well as generating, maintaining and converting sales pipelines in an effective manner.
  • Using your outstanding verbal and written communication skills, you will influence key stakeholders across multiple levels in the accounts under your responsibility, driving towards actions and decisions.
  • Demonstrating leadership and the ability to work cross-functionally within BASF, you will engage and coordinate with internal stakeholders (e.g., Marketing, Technical, R&D, and Supply Chain) to further develop the customer experience and ensure the account plans are executed.
  • Your excellent customer focus will be evident as you regularly interface with technical and commercial representatives of the targeted customers to effectively differentiate our offering from the competition’s
