We Are Looking For Someone Who Demonstrates

  • Have clear understanding of design/thermo-mechanical  trade-offs and ability to implement designs effectively using those tradeoffs.

Experience And Skills

  • Contribute to the definition of product features taking into account mechanical/electrical/thermal tradeoffs.

  • Strong understanding of reflecting  customer needs and company goals in the thermomechanical design.

  •  Research, define, design, and test parts to implement these features.

  • Accurate use of modelling techniques to perform:

    • thermal modeling to predict temperatures of critical components using Icepak (it will be pulse to have  Flotherm).

    • strong design experience with Creo Is required and it will be plus to have  SolidWorks

    •  

  • Create and/or have created prototypes of the thermal parts and assemblies, i.e., heat sinks, baffles, carriers, vapor chamber, heat pipes, liquid cooling, etc.

  • Verify thermal and mechanical compliance per PCI-e, Telcordia, ETSI spec and criteria Evaluate thermal data collected from engineering and manufacturing test to confirm product conformance to thermo-mechanical  requirements, testing and modeling

  •  Excellent knowledge of DFM (Design for Manufacturing), including experience with volume manufacturing in Asia as well as North America.

    • Tolerance analysis of high complexity and precision mechanical designs

    • Experience with various materials and coatings (research, selection, testing, process capability).

    • Experience with fixture design

  • Hand on experience on lab work:

    • Experience with Design of Experiments, instrumentation, data acquisition and analysis, including uncertainty analysis. This is to cover:

    • Thermocouple, build and test all products upon prototype reception

    • Air flow measurement and thermal measurement

    • Mechanical pressure measurement,

    • It will pulse to have

      • Mechanical warpage using Shadow Morrie, DIC, FIB, SEM, TMA, DMA, MTS, X-ray, C-SAM, T-SAM

  • Experience with reliability testing and qualification of systems

Education Requirements

 Bachelors degree with 15- 20 years relevant experience 
-or Masters with 12  17 years
 -or PhD with 10-15 year
in Mechanical Engineering in an electronics-cooling related Thermal/Mechanical Engineering role.
