**Northrop Grumman Defense Systems Sector has a need for a Staff Systems Engineer at its Subsystem and Software Sustainment (S&SS) organization in Warner Robins, GA.**

**This engineering position is for an role on the Systems Engineering Team that supports modeling and simulation, electronic warfare, avionics, and radar sustainment programs.**

**Your responsibilities include:**

+ **Performs technical planning, requirements development, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems.**
+ **Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal.**
+ **Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule and cost constraints.**
+ **Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.**
+ **Considers both business and technical needs of the program and operates as an effective project manager who integrates all necessary disciplines and specialty groups to define and balance system performance, cost, schedule, risk, and system security from concept to production .**


**Basic Qualifications:**

**1. A Bachelors in Science in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or related technical degree and a minimum of 14 yrs of direct relevant experience ; 12+ Years with Masters**

**2. Demonstrated performance as engineer lead on prior programs, will be expected to lead teams, mentor junior engineers, and perform project planning and monitoring activities for engineering IPTs.**

**3. Experience in either Avionics, Electronic Warfare, Radar, or Test systems**
**4. Experience with the design and reverse engineering of embedded systems**
**5. Demonstrated expertise within Systems Engineering to include but not limited to requirements analysis, requirements allocation, requirements decomposition, requirements development and verification & validation.**
**6. Experience working frequently with external customers.**

**7. A current DoD Secret Clearance.**

**8. Ability to obtain/maintain access to work at our Warner Robins, GA site.**

**Preferred Qualifications:**

**1. Experience designing LRUs and/or SRUs**
**2. Experience with model based system engineering (MBSE)**
**3. Experience with Model Based Engineering (MBE) tools such as Matlab/Simulink to develop and test real-time capabilities**
**4. Experience designing hardware in the loop testing capabilities**
**5. Experience with Embedded Design including FPGAs & OFPs**
**6. Experience with Software Development Lifecycle (Requirements, Design, Implementation and Integration & Test)**
**7. Experience with C/C++ or similar language using object oriented development**
**8. Experience with real-time operating systems**
**9. Experience with emulation/virtualization technologies**
**10. Experience with automated testing techniques and tools**
**11. Experience with scripting language such as Python**

**12. E xperience with interfaces such as MIL-STD-1553B, Fiber-Optics, and/or Intel M82916 Pi Bus**

**13. Experience with i960/PPC 7448, or MPC 8548 processors**

**14. Experience with Wind Rivers Simics**

**15. Experience designing SILs**
