Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Staff System Engineer to be the Model Based System Engineering (MBSE) Lead for the Advanced Weapons Campaign to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals within our South Bay Aircraft Design Center organization. This role is located in Redondo Beach, California.

As an MBSE Lead, you will be responsible for defining a vision for system architecture development efforts for the Advanced Weapons portfolio.

**Essential Functions:**

+ Define a vision for implementation of Weapon Open System Architecture (WOSA), CAMEO Weapons Government Reference Architecture (GRA), and MBSE architecture.
+ Ensure common process, tools, templates, checklists, and best practices for MBSE are implemented across active Advanced Weapons programs.
+ Define MBSE approach for emerging weapons capture activities and proposals.
+ Contribute to cross sector strategy discussions and road-mapping activities
+ Collaborate across programs and sectors to collect and disseminate interface requirements within existing and emerging products and thrust areas
+ Attend government MBSE working groups.
+ Act as an independent reviewer for program systems engineering technical reviews

**Basic Qualifications:**

+ Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) with 14 years of related engineering experience; OR a Masters degree in STEM with 12 years of related engineering experience, or a PhD in STEM with 9 related engineering experience.
+ Must have an active DoD Secret or higher clearance.
+ Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance.
+ Applied knowledge of Model Based Systems Engineering.

**Preferred Qualifications:**

+ Bachelors or Masters degree in a STEM discipline, or Systems Engineering
+ Experience working in CORE or CAMEO
+ Experience with WOSA Standards and weapon systems
+ Current Special Access Program (SAP)
+ Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills

Salary Range: $156,000.00 - $234,000.00

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
