Aeronautics Systems sector is seeking a **Staff Enginee** r to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position is located in **Redondo Beach , CA.**
This position will be part of the Global Supply Chain Strategic Sourcing organization performing technical and project management of development, production and sustainment of military air-vehicle program platforms.

The responsibilities include development of strategic sourcing plans to support long-range requirements planning. Provide project management oversight to support successful capabilities development, the development of supply chain resources and transition from initiation to product delivery. Will also provide technical oversight for all aspects of analysis, development, integration, execution and producibility. Candidate will lead GSC functional responsibilities and interface with customers, project managers and program engineering to achieve all associated aspects of strategies and tactics required to develop successful build to packages, and identify and mitigate potential design gaps and incompatibilities within industry. Provide guidance and recommendations on new concepts or international capabilities pursuits to achieve continuous manufacturing supply.

Responsibilities will include by are not limited to identifying capabilities and strategies for creating and leveraging external resources. Work preemptively to circumvent delivery problems using analytics, along with internal and external expertise. Correspondingly, as technical professional for Global Supply Chain will be responsible for analyzing engineering concept, design, fabrication, qualification, inspection and fabrication support for Aerospace platform applications.

+ Lead teams and influence outcomes related to key decisions on awards and subsequent execution
+ Create strategic plans to reduce risks associated with implementation of new suppliers or business capability acumen
+ Develop sourcing comprehension and collaboration process with tier 2 and 3 suppliers
+ Provide continuous feedback on industry health, effectively communicate mergers, acquisitions and closures that can influence or affect capacity and performance
+ Provide contingency management oversight as focal point for Supply Chain, establish and assure documented and repeatable recovery processes exist
+ Review and interpret technical specifications, milestone definitions and deliverable requirements for design, and manufacturing milestones
+ Technical lead responsibilities to determine commodity groupings as well as individual specification and hardware deliverables
+ Conduct and/or supporting internal technical and non-technical review meetings as required
+ Convene and/or present as GSC representative at formal Engineering Technical Review meetings, and Configuration Review Boards and Change Boards
+ Provide liaison between Northrop Grumman Global Supply Chain, Suppliers and Customers including technical team counterpart representatives
+ Develop and maintain project schedules using MS Project and/or other reporting and presentation tools

Candidate should succeed in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, and collaborative team settings across all levels. Candidate must be comfortable in handling administrative and technical demands understand ERP system requirements and be able to work in partnership with system engineers, hardware designers, and integration/test engineers.


**Basic Qualifications:**

+ Bachelor's Degree in a STEM discipline with a minimum of 14 years experience, a Master's Degree in a STEM discipline with a minimum of 12 years experience, or a PhD in a STEM discipline with a minimum of 9 years of experience in project management or lead engineering responsibilities
+ 6 years Supply Chain or similar project management experience
+ 3 years of advanced use of MS Word, Excel, Access, Outlook; other productivity tools
+ Ability to obtain/maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance as needed for the business.

**Preferred Qualifications:**

+ An Active or Interim Secret Clearance issued by the DoD
+ Master's degree in Design, Engineering, Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Project/Program/Business Management
+ Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to interface with all levels of employees and management
+ Experience working with Siemens NX CAD suite
+ Ten (10) years or more experience in hardware design and integration.
