Amazon's Finance Technology (FinTech) organization builds and maintains the finance technology platforms and services that enable new business growth, compliance with financial and tax reporting obligations, and analysis of our financial data. Through our products, we aim to maximize time spent by Finance teams on high value analysis, reduce the growth of operating expenses, and improve the vendor experience.

About this role:
We are looking for an ambitious and entrepreneurial Senior Technical Program Manager to help deliver Invoice to Cash solutions in multiple countries by working across several cross functional Software engineering, Business, Tax, Finance and Accounting teams.

The candidate should be comfortable with a degree of ambiguity that€™s higher than most projects and relish the idea of solving new problems. The candidate will encounter challenging, novel situations every day and given the size of this initiative, you€™ll have the opportunity to work with multiple technical teams at Amazon in different locations. We€™re looking for people who are passionate about innovating on behalf of customers, can demonstrate a high degree of ownership, and want to have fun while they build excellent products for E-Invoicing at Amazon.

Technical Program Manager Responsibilities

· Develop program vision and timelines, and gain buy-in for that vision across Senior leadership.
· Work closely with engineering to architect and develop the technical designs for complex problems.
· Develop program governance, communication, roadmaps, and milestones.
· Codify requirements across multiple customers into a single program and roadmap
· Drive program management and engineering resources in the design, development and launch of new products.
· Work across cross-functional project teams to enable the successful launch of the program
· Own and develop a communication plan that includes regular reviews with customers and leadership.
· Lead validation of ideas and feedback to refine the program vision


  • 7+ years of experience working directly with engineering teams
  • Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
  • 5+ years of technical program management experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field 7+ years of relevant work experience in internet-related technical program management in a software environment
  • 7+ years' experience in a software development, architect or program manager role managing software projects


  • Experience with agile methodologies
  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field
  • Experience with a cloud computing or large software services company is a plus
  • Experience with tax or finance related projects is a plus
