An opportunity has arisen within IT Services for an experienced Technical Program Manager to work across Amazons merger and acquisition space, specifically within product development. This role will support the IT and technological transition of subsidiaries and integrated organizations through their onboarding into Amazon and beyond. We are looking for highly efficient technical talent to help our important customers navigate operational challenges and complexities associated with mergers and acquisitions. This role will support our customers creative and transformative spirit of innovation across all technologies, including SDLC product development, Compute, Storage, Database, Application services, Networking, Server-less and more.
You will be the primary technical point of contact for one or more customers helping to plan, debug, and oversee ongoing operations of business-critical applications. You will be hands on supporting and troubleshooting applications, network, database, and architectural challenges using a suite of internal AWS tools as well as your existing knowledge and toolkits. We are seeking individuals with strong backgrounds in I.T. and in any of these related areas such as Email Migrations, Solution Designing, Application and System Development, Database Management, DevOps.
The successful candidate will manage programs that may focus on a single product in a critical technology area or work more broadly, managing larger product initiatives that span organizations or geographies in support of a larger business objective. They will be assigned to manage the roadmap for an organization, which may include contributing to OP1/OP2 narratives, and ownership of one or more organizational goals. As a technology program owner, they are accountable for the overall strategy as well as driving teams inside and outside Corporate Infrastructure Services organization to deliver. They will define the program (mission, vision, tenets), set objectives, analyze data, drive improvements that are quantified with metrics, and influence resource allocation. They understand the systems in your product or program space, their limitations, scaling factors, boundary conditions, and reasons behind architectural decisions (Q. Why did we build X? What business goal does it solve? Do we need to build something else€“ if so why?).
To ensure business and technical stakeholder needs are aligned, they will drive mindful discussions that lead to crisp decisions. Expected to provide context (past, current, and future) for business/technology choices and a long-term perspective. They will partner with customers and engineering teams to determine which projects move forward and in what priority order. You use your technical judgment to question proposals and test assumptions (Q. Do we need to build this at all?). Working closely with CIL Engineers and CIS TPMs they will also enlist Senior/Principal Engineer to ensure architecture(s) scale (or will scale) to match the €œthink big€ business case. They will make smart trade-offs (e.g., time vs. effort vs. features). They will be expected to create plans that have clear, measurable success criteria and clearly communicate progress and outcomes.
The candidate should have a depth of product and program management knowledge, good understanding of various IT technologies and the ability to hold teams accountable while owning project/program outcomes with impact on global customers. They should have a background in supporting customers in an enterprise environment, working with internal or external teams.

Candidate should:
€¢ Manage and own complex projects having enterprise wide impact.
€¢ Acute knowledge of SDLC and agile product methodologies
€¢ Work with Corporate Integration teams to assume the voice of the customer through subsidiary onboarding
€¢ Drive proof of concepts, develop technical documents required for service deployment
€¢ Establish the forward looking strategy and gain support for implementation.
€¢ Conduct pre-project requirement gathering, scoping, project approval, planning, oversee delivery and verification of strategic goals.
€¢ Develop gap analysis, functional specifications, project schedules and milestones.
€¢ Work with stakeholders to identify resources, assemble project teams, and delegate responsibilities.
€¢ Assess costs, benefits and risks, plus identify and respond to risks and high-priority issues rapidly and effectively through effective action and appropriate escalation.
€¢ Balance business needs with technical and security requirements.
€¢ Clearly communicate goals, responsibilities, issues and status to customers and senior managers.
€¢ Lead and streamline the transition of IT Services into production.
€¢ Ensure changes are effectively released with feedback mechanisms established.
€¢ Build effective relationships with stakeholder and service owners.
€¢ Publish accurate and concise reports on time to maintain visibility and accountability.


Key job responsibilities
Act as single point of contact for subsidiaries and acquired organizations to support their short, medium term IT needs. Act as single accountable leader for related programs, supporting stakeholders to identify and close process gaps and ensure efficient global processes are followed.
€¢ Assess costs, benefits and risks, plus identify and respond to risks and high-priority issues rapidly and effectively through effective action and appropriate escalation.
€¢ Work with Corporate Integration teams and existing IT teams to take on the voice of the customer and drive improvement.
€¢ Manage and own complex projects having enterprise wide impact.
€¢ Collaborate with engineering teams to develop Network Infrastructure solutions
€¢ Drive proof of concepts, develop technical documents required for service deployment
€¢ Establish the forward looking strategy and gain support for implementation.
€¢ Conduct pre-project requirement gathering, scoping, project approval, planning, oversee delivery and verification of strategic goals.
€¢ Develop gap analysis, functional specifications, project schedules and milestones.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

€¢ Bachelor€™s Degree in Computer Science, IT, or any related discipline required, or equivalent work experience.
€¢ 6+ years of experience as a technical product manager / engineer or project lead.
€¢ 5+ years of experience managing technical projects from design to release.
€¢ 3+ years working with Agile or Scrum in a product or project role.
€¢ Customer-facing experience as a technical lead, with strong oral and written communication skills, presenting to both large and small audiences.
€¢ Track record of ramping up quickly in an evolving and challenging role.
€¢ Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects in a fast-moving environment.
€¢ Proven track record of exceptional customer focus.
€¢ Be mobile and travel to client locations as needed.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

€¢ Advanced experience in one or more of the following areas: Software Design or Development, Email Migrations and enterprise tooling migrations, Database Architecture, IP Networking, IT Security, Operations Management, Service Oriented Architecture etc.
€¢ Experience in a delivering complex programs at global level
€¢ Experience with AWS services.
€¢ Expertise in agile software engineering practices & best practices for the product development life cycle, including requirements gathering and sign off, high level product design, product management documentation governance, build processes, testing, and operations.
€¢ Comfortable working in a fast paced, highly collaborative, dynamic work environment.
€¢ Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication skills
€¢ Experience communicating with a diverse audience, including the ability to propose complex solutions and explanations in writing.
€¢ Global experience with Product launches in multiple geographies simultaneously.
€¢ Project/Product management certification (PMP, CAPM, CSM, etc).
€¢ Experience communicating with senior management (Director/VP-level).
