Job Description:

Field Service requires a working knowledge of commercial and general aviation aircraft maintenance. Reliability, communications skills, workmanship, and good judgment are essential traits.   The FSR will be expected to communicate effectively with Korean naval personnel from entry level through senior squadron leadership.  Must be able to develop expertise in specific disciplines including: Avionics, Electrical.  Must be capable of guiding Korean naval technicians/mechanics performing minor aircraft modifications. 

Essential Functions:

  • Teststing, fault isolation, and operational checkout of aircraft mission systems including sensor and weapons systems, flight management systems (FMS).
  • Train and advice Korean naval personnel on FMS, IFF, Terrain/Collision Avoidance Systems (TCAS), Radar, Magnetic Anomaly Detector (MAD) systems, and secure/non-secure voice and data communications.
  • Operation and use of RF Generators, Spectrum Analyzers, Time Doman Reflectometers (TDR), Oscilloscopes, and TCAS test sets
  • Understand the use of specific P-3 related ground support equipment.
  • Testing, fault isolation, calibration and boresight Electro-Optical Infrared Red (EOIR) Systems
  • Assist Korean naval personnel in reading and understanding P-3 technical manuals, directives schematics and engineering data.
  • Provide casual on the job training to Korean naval personnel on request.

    Examining notes or documents for hydraulic, pneudraulic, pneumatic, electrical, electro-mechanical and mechanical conditions, repairs, modifications, alterations, and/or installations performed on the airframe and/or power plant(s).


    Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

    Requires minimum ten (10) years hands-on aircraft maintenance experience or equivalent
    experience such as an aircraft electrician, aircraft sheet metal worker, or aircraft systems
    mechanic work. 

    Ability to read and write in English.

    Working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.

    Must be able to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret Security Clearance, which requires U.S. Citizenship.

    Preferred Additional Skills:

    • FAA – Airframe and Power Plants License (FAA).
    • Flight Engineer Turbo-Propeller License (FAA)
    • Secret Clearance
