DESCRIPTION

Job summary
Amazon Elastic File System (EFS) https://aws.amazon.com/efs/ is a fully managed service that makes it easy to set up and scale shared file storage in the AWS Cloud. Amazon EFS is designed for a wide variety of use cases: data analytics, video rendering, genomics analysis, web serving, content management, and home directories, to name a few.

As a Sr Software Development Manager on the EFS team, you will lead leaders in designing, building, and operating a cloud native distributed storage system with petabyte-scale. Delivering reliable and high-performance services and features at AWS scale requires technical leaders with extraordinary expertise and boundless creativity. At Amazon, leaders interact with customers, understand our business goals, and innovate rapidly, delivering high-quality and ground-breaking functionality.

What does it take to thrive as a Sr SDM on EFS? You need to be creative, responsible, and curious while leading the team to move quickly in turning code into customer solutions. You€™re excited about designing and implementing solutions that scale while also engaging individual customers in understanding their applications. You€™re able to think about business opportunities, operational issues, and architectural diagrams in the course of a single conversation. You€™re looking for a team of bright, capable engineers to work with in implementing your vision and you want to both teach and learn from other engineers around you.

Work/Life Balance
Our team is focused on balancing life with work, and does this via work autonomy and by prioritizing solutions and processes that enable us to scale faster than the business.

Mentorship & Career Growth
We€™re committed to the growth and development of every member of the team, and that includes our senior leaders. You will be expected to contribute to the culture and direction of the org and deliver site-wide initiatives that will improve the life of all of our teams.

We€™re hiring and scaling rapidly to meet the needs of our customers. You€™ll have the opportunity to grow your scope of influence naturally as we scale.

Inclusive Team Culture
Here at AWS, we embrace our differences. We are committed to furthering our culture of inclusion. We have ten employee-led affinity groups, reaching 40,000 employees in over 190 chapters globally. We have innovative benefit offerings, and we host annual and ongoing learning experiences, including our Conversations on Race and Ethnicity (CORE) and AmazeCon (gender diversity) conferences.
