As a Robotics Planning Engineer with Honeywell, this is your opportunity to develop and implement advanced motion planning algorithms for a variety of unique and complex ground robotics applications.



  •  PhD or MS in Robotics Engineering, Optimization, Applied Mathematics or related field.
  •  At least 3+ years practical experience in motion planning €” key areas of interest include any of the following: trajectory planning, route planning, multi-robot coordination, optimization-based planning and manipulator trajectory planning.
  •  At least 3+ years of experience programming in C++ or Python.
  •  A strong understanding of modern robotic systems and their practical implementation.
  •  Familiarity with modern planning approaches including randomized search methods, trajectory optimization and autonomous decision making.
  •  Prior experience developing motion planning systems that have been used in a production ground-vehicle system, or an advanced research prototype (end-to-end, full lifecycle development preferred)
  •  Experience in doing reinforcement learning, motion planning of swarm robots.
  •  Experience working with remote and global teams.
  •  Ability to stay abreast of current and emerging technologies in support of new concept development.
  •  Result-driven, positive €œcan-do€ attitude.
  •  Ability to work collaboratively with development/implementation staff through the design and build of new business processes and systems.
