**A Day in the Life**


Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.


+ Develops, modifies, applies and maintains qualitystandards and protocol for processing materials into partially finished orfinished materials product.

+ Collaborates with engineering and manufacturingfunctions to ensure quality standards are in place.

+ Devises and implements methods and procedures forinspecting, testing and evaluating the precision and accuracy of productsand production equipment.

+ Designs or specifies inspection and testing mechanismsand equipment; conducts quality assurance tests; and performs statisticalanalysis to assess the cost of and determine the responsibility forproducts or materials that do not meet required standards andspecifications.

+ Ensures that corrective measures meet acceptablereliability standards and that documentation is compliant withrequirements.

+ May specialize in the areas of design, incomingmaterial, production control, product evaluation and reliability,inventory control and/or research and development as they apply to productor process quality.


**Must Have: Minimum Requirements**


+ Bachelors Degree in Engineering,Science or technical field with 4+ years of work experience in Engineeringand/or Quality OR Masters Degree Engineering, Science or technical fieldwith 2+ years of work experience in Engineering and/or Quality.


**Nice to Have**


+ Requires advanced knowledge of job area combiningbreadth and depth, typically obtained through advanced education combinedwith experience.

+ May have practical knowledge of project management.

+ Quality engineering toolkit includingadvanced understanding and application of statistics, sampling plans, dataanalysis, non-conformance management, DOE (Design of Experiment), GRR(Gage Repeatability Reproducibility), verification, validation, SPC,control plans, risk management, CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Action),root cause analysis and tools (to include fishbone/Ishikawa diagrams andDMAIC Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control).
